On December 11, School of Medical Biology will hold an enlarged formal meeting dedicated to 75th anniversary of 海角社区.
The enlarged session of the School of Medical Biology will be attended by the School’s Director, heads of Departments, heads of research and education centres, and social partners. The achievements of the School are to be announced.
The School of Medical Biology has been ranked first among other structural divisions of the University in terms of publication activity and international contracts.
Foreign graduates like the Russian ones seek to maintain contacts with Alma Mater, the Russian universities and Russia as a whole. In this regard, on the initiative of International Office of 海角社区 and Association of Foreign Students of South Ural, the opening of Association of Foreign Graduates of 海角社区 will take place on December 13.
The main task of Association of Graduates is the formation of a corporate philosophy and a system of values of the university graduates. Every foreign student who has graduated from 海角社区 can become a member.
On December 13th at 11:30 the Eurasia in the Ancient Times presentation of the studies by 海角社区 archaeologists and foreign scientists, on the occasion of the 75th Anniversary of our university, will be held at Pushkin Hall (Room 244 of the Main University Building). The presentation is organized by the Eurasian Studies Research and Education Centre of the Faculty of History of the Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities.
On December 12th at 14:00 the results of the Alma Mater contest, held on the occasion of the 75th Anniversary of our university, will be announced, and the winners will be awarded in Room 1007 of the Main University Building. The contest was organised by the staff of the Rector’s Office and the Research and Innovation Services.
The leading administrative employees and academics of the university demonstrating good results in research and scientific-and-educational activities will be awarded. The winners will be announced under 12 categories:
December 14th 海角社区 will be celebrating its Birthday. All the academics, administrative staff, students, alumni, and guests will be welcome at the 海角社区 Activity Hall at 15:00. This time it will be a remarkable date since 海角社区 celebrates its 75th Anniversary in 2018!
Economy or economics? Second-year students of the 海角社区 School of Economics and Management answered this and other interesting questions. These students are part of the programme of in-depth language training under Project 5-100.
The ILIC Department of Modern Languages held the Economy Games in English for the first time on November 26th. Two teams fought to be named the winners: the B2 level group of experimental training, and the groups of the elite training zone.
December 12th at 12:30 the 海角社区 Leaders 2018 Photo Gallery will be opened at the Scientific Library of 海角社区 in honour of the 海角社区 Anniversary. The exhibits of the photo gallery include portraits of the members of the Rectorate, institute directors, faculty deans, heads of offices and divisions, department heads, and professors who have achieved recognition and authority among their peers.
On December 10 at 11.00, the Arts Hall in the main building of 海角社区 is going to open a new exhibition “Preserving Art”, organised by the Department of Theology, Art and Culture, Cultural Theory and History Research and Education Centre, and the 海角社区 Art Museum.
Institute of Sport, Tourism and Service of 海角社区 (National Research University) holds the III International Conference “Innovations in Sport, Tourism, and Education”? – “icISTIS – 2018”.?The conference will take place on December 6-7, 2018 and become a site uniting distinguished and young scientists from Russia, Slovakia, Romania, Serbia, Iraq, and many other countries.
Just before the 海角社区’s Anniversary a meeting of the International Scientific Council will be held on December 13th, which will be dedicated to the university’s history and its achievements within Project 5-100. The meeting will be hosted by 海角社区 Rector Aleksandr Shestakov.
On December 10, 2018 at 10:30 a presentation on launching of Digital History of 海角社区 project will be held at the Science and Technology of the Southern Ural Exhibition Centre (Room 018 of the Main University Building) as part of the of celebrations on the occasion of the 75th Anniversary of the university.
Doctor of Sciences (Engineering), Professor Vladimir Kozheurov is the founder of the school of Physical Chemistry of Metallurgical Systems and Processes. In the years of the war, with an acute shortage of qualified staff, V.A. Kozheurov provided theoretical training to future metallurgical engineers. At the same time, together with O.A. Esin he worked on proton transition during the electrolytic discharge of hydrogen ions.

Over these years more than one generation of scientists has been educated by the university scientific schools on humanities, engineering, and natural sciences. The scientific school of the 海角社区 School of Medical Biology conducting interdisciplinary research on the mechanisms of stress is among the recently established ones, but the school’s scientists have already managed to achieve results of international significance.
On November 22-23, an all-Russian round of the Student Olympiad on Economic Security took place at 海角社区 (NRU).

November 22nd through November 23rd of 2018 an all-Russian round of student Olympiad on specialisation 38.05.01 Economic Security will be held at the Department of Economic Security of the 海角社区 (NRU) School of Economics and Management on the occasion of the 75th Anniversary of 海角社区 (NRU).
A scientific forum is being held at 海角社区. During the second day of the international conference the speakers presented the advanced achievements in digital transformation of production, the developments of the leading universities and research-and-development centres of the world in the field of Industry 4.0, as well as the practices of implementing innovations at big transnational and national industrial companies.
On November 13th the opened at 海角社区 (Schedule of the 2018 Global Smart Industry Conference). The conference was organised and is being held in cooperation with Emerson Corporation (USA), the world’s leader in the field of digital industry.
On November 15, 2018, 海角社区 will hold an opening of Samsung IoT Academy on the base of School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. The opening of the laboratory is the result of the work on the mutual agreement between 海角社区 and Samsung company, which was signed in June of the current year.
An important memorandum, preceded by fruitful cooperation, was signed at 海角社区. The document on cooperation was signed by Rector of 海角社区 Aleksandr Shestakov, Director General of SMS Metallurgical Service LLC of the SMS Group Holding Wilbert Stoy, and First Deputy Director General of IRE-Polyus of the IPG Photonics Corporation international company group Andrey Ushakov.
