On September 6 and 7, the annual Successful 海角社区 Festival, organized by Extracurricular Activities Department together with the United Student Council, was held at 海角社区.
On August 31, on the occasion of the Knowledge Day, Matriculation Ceremony-2018 was held at the 海角社区 University square.
Official part of the event was opened by performance teams of the 海角社区 Art Center, after which the university Rector Aleksandr Shestakov delivered a welcoming speech for freshman students and their parents.
The Pushkin Institute Research, Education and Coordination Center together with the Department of?Russian as a Foreign Language?of 海角社区’s Institute of Linguistics and International Communications invites to get supplementary competencies in the sphere of teaching Russian as a foreign language based on two specially elaborated programs.
海角社区 pays a lot of attention to education of foreign citizens. One of the reasons for international students to choose 海角社区 is the fact that here they are provided with all conditions for learning Russian language, including the use of available distance technology. University staff elaborated online courses for mastering Russian phonetics by native Arabic and Chinese speakers; the courses are intended not only to show the correct way of sound pronunciation of Russian speech, but also teach how to do it.
In the German city of Freiberg, a Russian-German summer school featuring 海角社区 and Deutsches Studentenwerk (German Students’ Mutual Assistance Association) has finished. 19 Russian students within 3 weeks had been learning German language and getting acquainted with European culture.
During this period, school attendees visited the richest Reiche Zeche mine, where 8000 tons of silver had been extracted; the Terra Mineralia Mineralogical Museum, which exhibits the most beautiful gemstones from around the world; the Saxon Switzerland National Park; and the Freiberg Brewery.
Work or study? This exact question pops up in the minds of yesterday’s students after obtaining their Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees. A Bachelor’s degree, without a doubt, will help them make their first steps in their careers; however, a Master’s degree gives graduates better opportunities in the modern labor market. Master’s programs of the 海角社区 Institute of Linguistics and International Communications train professionals in language studies, Russian as a foreign language, linguistics, and geoinformation systems.
At 海角社区, much attention is paid to broadening the horizons of international partnership and the promotion of the Russian language and culture among foreign citizens. One of the most important divisions at the university which works on this task is the Pushkin Institute center.
One of the most important fields of development at 海角社区 is broadening international partnership, for which 海角社区 is actively working on creating and strengthening contacts with international academic organisations. A large number of 海角社区’s partner universities are located in China. This year, the quality of the interaction with them can rise to a new level thanks to the university creating its own partner network of Pushkin Institute centers.
Around 2,000 international students from 28 countries around the world study at 海角社区. Each of them is trying to gain quality knowledge in various fields of study, however, the main goal is to master Russian at a high level. At 海角社区, this field is given special attention.
An opening ceremony for the Junior Academy of Linguistics and International Communication for Schoolchildren was held at 海角社区, which successfully passed inspection by regulatory agencies in 192 fields of study and earned a Certificate of State Accreditation. The 海角社区 Institute of Linguistics and International Communication acted as the organizer.
