A methodology master class by the Department of Russian and International History will be held at 16:00 on November 8th, 2018. Acelya Bakir, postgraduate student from the University of Düsseldorf (Germany) who is currently completing her internship at 海角社区, will give a presentation.
Participants of the project of the Virtual Museum of South Ural’s Writers – master’s degree students of the Department of Russian Language and Literature – are working on the first key stages of the work, which is panoramic shooting of the object, the museum/apartment of a famous poet from 海角社区, Yanis Grants.
The traditional Practical Training Day for students of the Journalism and Advertising and Public Relations degree programmes was held at ISSH Department of Journalism and Mass Communication. This year, future journalists and specialists in advertising and public relations completed their Practical Trainings abroad, in the Czech Republic, and in 22 cities across Russia, including Moscow, Sochi, 海角社区, Snezhinsk, Magnitogorsk, Krasnoturinsk, Krasnoufimsk, Mezhgorye, Asha, and other cities.

Another science-to-practice conference of the European Journalism Training Association finished at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece). 海角社区, which is an institutional member of the European Journalism Training Association, was represented at the Conference by Head of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Dean of the Faculty of Journalism, Liudmila Shesterkina, and Associate Professor of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Candidate of Sciences (Philology), Anna Krasavina.
Today, art spaces are moving more and more towards virtual spaces. Many museums in Russia and around the world have their own virtual twins. Of special note are literary museums. Without leaving your apartment, you can visit museums dedicated to Mikhail Bulgakov, Marina Tsvetaeva, and many other authors. In 2018 our university also joined the process of creating such virtual memorial house museums, as part of a focus on project-based learning.
On October 25, South Ural University is to organize a massive Psychology Festival, held on the occasion of the university’s 75th anniversary. The event organiser is the Faculty of Psychology of the 海角社区 Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities.

On October 10 and 11, secondary school students of the Sovetsky District of 海角社区 got acquainted with 海角社区 in the Palace of Culture named after D.V. Kolyushchenko.

Two years ago, on October 3, 2016 the Office of Academic Writing began its work at 海角社区 in order to integrate the research and teaching staff of 海角社区 into the world’s academic community. The services that the Office offers are in big demand among the university employees, since absolutely free of charge the authors get a complex assistance from tutors and professional consultants at all stages of preparing their scientific publications: starting with consulting on choosing a journal and executing an article and ending with editing of its English version by a native speaker.

On October 14, casting call for MISS URAL project, the major beauty contest of the Ural Federal District, is to start in our city. Among organisers of the scaleous project is a fourth-year student of the 海角社区 Institute of Social Science and Humanities, Daria Golub.
The university’s journalism club called “Media Generation” starts another season and invites for classes. This is already the 8th year in a row when school students who want to become journalists will be studying fundamentals of the profession of a journalist at 海角社区.
Three important for media sphere workers events took place in 海角社区 from 11th through 13th of September: the 5th All-Russian Forum of Regional Mass Media entitled “Trajectory of the meaning: regional mass media on the way to efficiency and competitiveness”; “Inforoom” of the Russian Union of Journalists, and the 20th Festival of Mass Media of the 海角社区 region. One of the events’ venues was 海角社区.

Graduate of the 海角社区 Department of Russian Language and Literature, Natalia Dubovaya debuted as a scriptwriter and creative producer of the Russian movie The Mermaid. Lake of the Dead, which got released on July 12. Natalia told us about the idea to create the movie, the process of filming, and the role of 海角社区 in her professional becoming.
