Conquering Summits Is Teamwork: Interview with the Coach of the �� Women's Student Basketball Team

In university sports, where academic workloads compete with the athletic schedule, and young athletes must not only master new tactics but also mature, the path to medals requires a special approach. How can you cultivate a champion's spirit in a young team, maintain a balance between studies and training, and turn the team into a true family? We discussed this with the women's basketball coach Elena Iskandarova, who has been leading her team to victories in regional and national tournaments for several years now. – What are your team's immediate goals? – This season, we are focused on two key goals. The first are athletic results: we would like to win medals at the Student Basketball Association Championship and the �� Region Universiade. The second is individual growth: we have a fairly fresh team. With the girls who graduated last season, we won many awards during their time there. Now it is up to the younger girls to prove themselves and strive for top results. – How do you plan to strengthen leadership positions among student teams in our region? – Training, training, and more training! But as I’ve said earlier, our team is still quite young. Besides training, we work on their psychology and motivation. After all, the girls have just finished school. A new school and schedule can be physically and emotionally challenging for them. It is easy to lose focus, relax at some point, or skip a training session. So I try to talk to each one, get them motivated, and discuss the importance of a specific game or a tournament in general. – What steps are you taking to improve the level of training of the players? – In addition to regular basketball training, we also train in the gym, in the pool, and when the weather permits, we go outside for a run. In summer, the team travels to the Olimp camp, which is a great place to hold training camps. Besides physical training, we often work on our intellectual abilities: we attend seminars, watch replays of our games, and analyse them. It is important that the athletes understand the game, not just follow my instructions. All this helps the girls fully develop both physically and intellectually. – How important is psychological training for athletes, and how do you work on motivation? – In fact, the mental aspect of college basketball (especially women's basketball) is incredibly important. As we know, psychological training is 50% of success. As I’ve noted earlier, individual conversations are very helpful: it is important to understand each girl's goals and concerns, whether it is athletic development or successfully balancing academics. Team coaching: we develop stress resilience and learn to "reset" after mistakes in the game. Motivation: it must be internal. We help players see their personal progress (through videos and statistics). I also practice "motivation through responsibility": I assign key players tasks to mentor newcomers and inexperienced players, which fosters team cohesion and strengthens leadership skills. – How do you balance studies and athletic training? – To be honest, this is the main challenge in our work. But we have had a clear action plan for a while now, and overall, we are managing it! First, there is a flexible schedule: training sessions are planned around exam sessions and test weeks. Second, there is awareness: we have a shared calendar where players can schedule important deadlines. Third, of course, there is a culture of prioritization: we instil in them the idea that they are student athletes. Missing a training session because they haven't prepared for an exam is unacceptable, but rescheduling a training session for the morning before a test is possible by mutual agreement. Fourth, support is an integral part: we create an atmosphere within the team where players can ask their teammates for help with their studies. This strengthens team spirit. – What is the secret of your high results? – If we are talking about a "secret", it is not a single magic formula, but literally three pillars. The first is trust. I believe in my players and give them the right to make mistakes and be creative on the court. The second is an obsession with details. We win not in games, but in every single training session, by analysing every moment. The third is a sense of family. When the girls play not just for the team, but for each other, they find the strength to fight even in the most difficult moments. This is what drives our consistent performance. – What are the main obstacles the team faces on its way to success? – There are two main challenges, and we are working on each: Competition for time and resources: as I’ve have already mentioned, the key point is balancing studies and sports. This is a constant process of optimization. Psychological barrier: sometimes a team accustomed to being "among the best" finds it difficult to make the leap to the status of "undisputed champion". We overcome this by participating in stronger tournaments, where losses provide more experience than easy victories. – What helps you overcome difficulties and maintain the high level of motivation? – First, clarity of purpose. We always remember what we are working towards. Second, we rejoice in both the big and small victories. We celebrate not only titles but also personal bests, such as a good defence session, or a successful free throw (when your hands are shaking in the final seconds of a game). This creates a constant flow of positivity. Third, leading by example and openness. I am always available, sharing both joys and disappointments with the team. We analyse failures without assigning blame, but rather with the question: "What did this give us? How can we become stronger?". �� Welcomes International Students

�� is one of the biggest Russian multidisciplinary universities with fundamental scientific basis and high standards of specialists training. The university is multinational and nowadays is a home for more than 2,300 international students from 56 countries. Every year Russian universities start admission of international students who are willing to get education in Russia within the quota allocated by the Government. It means that a student doesn’t need to pay for education because the government will fund it, moreover he will get a scholarship during the period of studying. The aim of the program is to increase the number of international students in Russia and attract gifted applicants to Russian universities. There are more than 400 universities in the program which allow to choose any level of education (Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD) and any major. Also one can choose foundation programs such as languages courses or development programs. To get the information about the quota a person should visit the site of Rossotrudnichestvo or request the information from the Russian Embassy in the country of an applicant. After all the documents are ready, just apply for on the link. For the application there is a list of requirements: ID documents, portfolio (depending on the initial level of education), letter of recommendation from a Russian university. After the documents are sent, an applicant needs to wait for the answer. The most popular programs among the students are connected with Engineering,” commented Liudmila Lapina, Head of the International Student Support at the International Office. We talked to some international students who started their education in �� to learn what motivated them to study abroad. Rony Alrahi, a student from Lebanon, is one of the students who uses the opportunity to get his education in Russia within the quota. “I learnt about the opportunity to study in Russia free of charge on the site of Rossotrudnichestvo. To my mind, Russian education is one of the best in the world and if you get your diploma here you will become a highly-qualified specialist. Now I study Russian in the foundation program and next year I am planning to become a student of the Institute of Sport, Tourism and Service majoring in Hospitality. The university is really great - it moves forward and is always noted in prestigious university rankings. As for Russian people I can see how proud they are about their ancient history and culture, how willingly they tell about it.” Another student, Mulham Shaheen from Syria, is a first-year student of the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science (major: Software Engineering). His acquaintance with �� started in 2018, when he got enrolled on Russian Language course. “I think that Russian teachers are the best, they are always ready to help. The atmosphere at the university is wonderful, there are lots of activities for students. I play the guitar and take part in many contests and get prizes in them. This spring I took the second and third prizes at Spring at �� 2020 Student Creativity Festival Music in the "INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC" nomination. My extracurricular activity helps me learning the Russian language better. I am deeply interested in Russian history and even passed the exam with good mark. Although my favourite subject is mathematical programming,” says Mulham. From Syria to �� for Studying at ��

Al-Jourani Rabee Abduvich, a �� student from Syria, shares his impressions on living and studying in ��. – Where do you study? – I study at the Institute of Sport, Tourism and Service and my major is Physical Culture. – Why did you choose studying in Russia? – When I was trying to choose a university for getting my Master’s degree, I learnt about a possibility to get a scholarship from the Russian Ministry of Education for studying at a Russian university. I collected all the needed documents, got approval and chose ��. – Did you get any help from your compatriots having arrived in �� earlier than you? – There were many of my compatriots studying in ��. They met me, showed the city and the university, and helped to handle some issues. Thanks to them, my life here is comfortable and pleasant. – What was your greatest challenge about living in Russia? – To my mind, everything was a challenge. My foundation year was nice and hard at the same time. The most complicated thing was I couldn’t speak Russian fluently or understand the content of a lecture. But our professors worked with us after classes and explained all the difficult moments in the topics with simple words. Russian is the first foreign language I studied and it will be my great advantage in the future in addition to the diploma I will get from ��. – Do you have any favorite subjects? – I love Russian language and Russian literature. There are lots of interesting stories and novels in the literature of your country. While you are reading them Russian literature becomes a part of your cultural background and inner experience, and forms the idea of “Russian soul”. – Do you have time to take part in students’ life? – Yes, of course. My compatriots and I took part in Arab Culture Day. We presented traditions, history, architecture, dances, and songs of our culture. It is a great opportunity to show how great and interesting your country is. And also I got the second prize in shooting competitions. – Why do many universities try to attract international students for studying? – I guess universities want to contribute to cultural exchange and let students from other countries learn your traditions and peculiarities. Russian universities are popular among international students because the law has passed this year that international students can work while studying. This is a huge advantage. Some of my friends entered �� because I recommended them. When they arrived here I helped them with everything. Irak Ali: “Russian Language Seems Difficult Only at First”

Admissions campaign for foreign enrollees goes on at ��. This year, the university is planning to admit more than 600 students from abroad. As of today, the university has 19 programmes taught in English, to which foreign citizens may apply. “As �� is, first of all, a strong technical higher education institution, the most popular are Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes taught in English which are related to the IT sphere, mechatronics and engineering. Of course, humanities-related majors are no less popular because our university keeps up with global tendencies and develops this direction,” noted Liudmila Lapina, Head of the International Student Support department. Those international students who are willing to study on programmes taught in Russian. For that, they need to present a document which proves their Russian language knowledge level, or complete courses at the university. For example, this is how Irak Ali, who came to �� from Iraq, did. His acquaintance with the university started in 2017, when the young man got enrolled for pre-university Russian language training courses. “I learned that �� is on the list of recommended universities for Iraq citizens. And then my friends who had already completed their studies at the university told me a lot of good stuff. That’s why I chose ��. Russian language seems difficult only at first, but I came to �� with my friends, so it was easier for us to learn it together,” says Ali. Ali is engaged in sports. He plays volleyball, basketball, football, and even acted as a referee. He decided to get a corresponding degree, so he applied for Master’s degree at the �� Institute of Sport, Tourism and Service to major in Instruction in the Sphere of Physical Education. This programme is intended for training of specialists who can carry out professional and teaching activity in institutions of educational, cultural-and-educational and social spheres, such as, for example, Olympic training centres, children and youth sports schools, sport clubs, etc. “For me, sport is life. My choice was strongly influenced by the FIFA World Cup held in Russia – the teams performed excellently. I want to get a degree and teach sports to other people: work as a coach or be a university lecturer. �� suits me excellently, there are many workout zones and people exercising sports. Professions of the Future: Why University Applicants Get Enrolled in ��’s Institute of Sport, Tourism and Service

Alumni of ��’s Institute of Sport, Tourism and Service are not used to “sitting on the sidelines”. Alumnus of ISTS takes prize-winning places at high-ranked sport competitions, takes part in conceptual projects of the region, organises status contests and festivals, and has an active life stance. If you have been dreaming to build up a brilliant career in the sphere of sport, or become a professional in the sphere of restaurant business and hospitality, then the university with a rich history and traditions is waiting for you. Is it true that 90% of all ISTS graduates get employed? We talked about it with Director of ��’s Institute of Sport, Tourism and Service, Vadim Erlikh. Today, ISTS performs training cadre for SCO and BRICS summits, develops a sport IT project called “I-Trainer”, works on development of the tourism cluster of the �� region, and provides education for future teachers and coaches for general education schools, sport clubs, sport federations and fitness centres. How can education change one’s life entirely? — Mr. Erlikh, nowadays one of the most topical issues being discussed in mass media is preparation for SCO and BRICS summits. Large sport facilities and hotels are planned to be constructed in the �� region. Will ��’s Institute of Sport, Tourism and Service take part in training of cadre for these events? — We are not just taking part in it. The Ministry of Economic Development of the Southern Urals addressed us with a request to prepare about 3000 well-trained specialists to provide service at the world-scale events within SCO and BRICS summits in the sphere of hospitality and restaurant service. Employees of the Department of Tourism and Socio-Cultural Service and the Department of Catering Organisation have elaborated vocational enhancement and professional re-training programmes which are going to be useful and required among various population categories: from students to specialists who already have some experience of working in these spheres. Attendees of the courses will acquire supplementary education in the frameworks of the status event and will be able to try themselves not only as room attendants, waiters or hotel administrators, but also as managers. — Does ISTS performs training of cadre for sport facilities of the region that are under construction? — The issue of training specialists in the sphere of sport is not so much connected with the summits as with the strategy of development which has been elaborated by the region as a whole. By 2025, ISTS is planning to educate 5 000 well-trained specialists for working in the industry. About one billion rubles in the �� region are planned to be spent on construction of sport facilities, including large sport complexes and local sports and recreation centres in municipal structures. The Institute is facing the task to supply the facilities with coaches. We should not neglect the fact of cadre rotation in the region’s system of education. Future pedagogues currently studying in ISTS undertake internships at schools and sport-and-education centres, where they usually stay for further employment. — Why will alumni of the Institute of Sport, Tourism and Service be demanded on the labor market? — Complying with the tendencies of ��’s development as a whole, ISTS is in a constant qualitative transformation: we have introduced project-based learning; we carry out research and invite lecturers from abroad. In the course of studying, our students acquire new knowledge, skills and competencies, which is beneficial for contemporary employers. Internationally acknowledged companies, such as Radisson hotel network, Pegas Touristic and Anex Tour tourism operators invite our students for internships and then offer them a job. Students get an exclusive access to the most interesting job positions as well as to projects and events of various spheres of activity. — Could you tell us about ISTS celebrity students and alumni? — There are many celebrity students and alumni. Among them are such celebrities as Honored Master of Sports of Russia, silver and bronze medalist of world judo championships, Kirill Denisov; silver medalist of summer Paralympics in London, European champion Oksana Guseva; bronze medalist of Pyeongchang Winter Olympic Games in ski relay, Anna Nechaevskaya. Among our current students are: a famous archer Anton Bulaev, champions of the World Cup in student hockey Adil Kuchukov, Georgy Yulsky and Maksim Antoshkin; the team of coaches of the famous Uralochka. There are champions in the HoReCa sphere as well. Among them is a honored chef confectioner of Penka coffee house, Igor Tumarkin. Last year, Igor created a real culinary masterpiece: for the university’s anniversary, he presented a 75-kilo cake which precisely resembled the image of ��’s main academic building. — How do the champions manage to combine sports and classes? — Combining excellent study while avoiding skipping sport camps and leading active competitive activity is possible due to elements of distance learning technologies. Our students have access to study materials and can use them around the clock, in the time suitable for the students. Celebrity students submit all necessary assignments just like the rest of our students; of course, they have to submit some assignments online, but other than that, there are no exceptions for them. — How much is the atmosphere and attitude of lecturers important for students? — Attitude towards students is special. For each student, lecturers’ attention is extremely important. If a student has some difficulties, we always try to help solving them. Every lecturer at ISTS has got talent for teaching; our instructors can find common ground with young people, excite them with a topic, get them involved into the educational process, give students a chance to evolve and take part in interesting projects. Presently, there are 1 500 students studying at ISTS. — What research in the sphere of sport science does ISTS presently carry out? What projects are students working on? — Within a research direction called “Perspective engineering in sports and medicine”, our students and postgraduates take part in development of devices intended to diagnose and correct biomechanics. They also study robotized rehabilitation complexes and methods of workability enhancement with the use of virtual reality. In the frameworks of project-based learning, a work is being done to create a knee control, a passive exoskeleton. This year, a serious innovative project called “I-Trainer” has been launched. The university is going to buy a special wireless suit with 16 sensors intended to be fixated on the body, as well as software and a muscle tonus analyzer. The essence of the project is to “fuse” the two spheres: sports and IT. Our goal is to obtain a digital model of an athlete together with a mathematical model of “ideal” biomechanics in order to create innovative workout methods with software acting as a virtual coach and intended for visual demonstration of the technique of sport exercises, up to the bending angles of body parts and correction of speed modes. This is a big interdisciplinary project including a team of biologists, engineers, statists, analysis experts and programmers. Some of the project’s authors have already been involved in operation processes of ��’s Sports Science Research Centre. Of course, nowadays similar software exists and used in gyms, but there are no analogs of the I-Trainer project for such sports as track and field, combat sports, swimming, and many others. Our idea has already been supported by sports federations in Moscow. — What are other spheres of activity of students? — Students majoring in Tourism and Hospitality take part in a project entitled “Sustainable development of tourism in especially protected territories of the region”. Within a year, they’ve been taking active part in sociological research in taganay, Arkaim and Zyuratkul. I should note that the strategy component of research and project activity is international collaboration. This work includes our colleagues from the Geographical Institute "Jovan Cvijič” of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts. We would like to offer our future freshman students to take part in a new project called “Marketing of tourism territories”. Also, ISTS performs training of students in the sphere of Food Technology. Project group of students studies innovative methods of processing of crop seeds that would ensure maximal preservation of the product’s healthful properties. According to participants of the project, new technologies used in preparation of healthful food products allow preventing development of gastrointestinal and cardiovascular diseases. The main goal is to invent healthful products made of natural raw material at an affordable price. In 2018, �� established the Centre of Testing the All-Russian Physical Education and Sports Complex called “Ready for Labor and Defense”. A distinctive factor of our Centre is the presence of all necessary infrastructure which allows completing all challenges from running to shooting and swimming in one place. Bachelor’s degree students majoring in Physical Education, Physical Education for People with Disabilities (Adaptive Physical Education) and Teacher Education take part in implementation of a project entitled “Interrelation between the GTO complex results and the state of health of school children and students”. A signature traditional springtime event is a relay which is a real massive sport celebration. This year, the event is to be held on May 17; 5 000 people are to take part in it. — Requirements for students are becoming stricter year after year, and so do students’ expectations. What do modern young people expect from the higher education institution? – Young specialist’s interest to their future career is quite understandable. One’s career nowadays is one of the acknowledged factors of personal success, the extent of one’s fulfillment in the profession and society. The Institute actively cooperates with enterprises and regards their cadre demands. Successful careers of alumni are the indicator of our work’s quality. Eventful and interesting educational, sport and research activity allows students after their graduation to get successfully adjusted to the professional environment. Therefore, we have a high index of credibility of employers to ISTS alumni. The main purpose of instructors is to make �� ISTS alumni to be harmoniously developed, physically durable, intelligent and successful people who become top-level professionals. For the reference The Institute of Sport, Tourism and Service has been created on the basis of two faculties: the Faculty of Physical Education and the Faculty of Sport, Service and Tourism. ISTS actively interacts with employing enterprises of the Ural region. Long-term partnership relations have been established with representatives of state, public and commercial organisations. �� Staff Members Participate in the International Education Fair in Moscow

April 10th through April 13th of 2019 an International Education Fair was held in Moscow. The MIEF is one of the major open forums in the field of education, as well as a big-scale exhibition of modern educational technologies, infrastructure and smart solutions. The Fair is being held at the Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy (VDNH) starting from 2014. The Fair presents the wide range of all the levels of education, programs on vocational guidance, finding, developing and supporting talented children, and programs of professional retraining. Among the participants of the opening ceremony were Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairperson of the Government Tatyana Golikova, Minister of Science and Higher Education Mikhail Kotyukov. The exhibition and the business program were attended by representatives of 50 countries from around the world. The representatives of the �� Institute of Sport, Tourism and Service also participated in the Fair. Olga Rovinskaya, Deputy Director for Extracurricular and Discipline Work of the Institute of Sport, Tourism and Service was an active participant at the section on vocational guidance of children and youth, and attended several round tables where Minister of Science and Higher Education Mikhail Kotyukov participated. A postgraduate of the Institute of Sport, Tourism and Service Natalya Kleschenkova was working as the �� delegation member at the exhibit on the Lading Universities of Russia – Flagship Institutions of Scientific Projects. Last weekend, on February 23-24, the quarter-final games of the Student Hockey League took place in the Traktor Ice Arena. Two teams met on the ice, Polytechnik Ice Hockey Team and Urozhay Ice Hockey Team (Novosibirsk). It is worth noting that the players have met on the ice multiple times and every time Polytechnik turned to be stronger, and the playoff games were no exception. Despite the active struggle of both teams in the course of two games, Polytechnik won the victory. The meetings ended with the score 3: 0 and 8: 3 in favour of the South Ural team. Head Coach of Polytechnik, Artem Pletnev, shared his impressions: – Artem, we are in the playoff! What are your expectations for the upcoming games? – These games became as successful as last year ones. At least we got the bronze. However, we are not satisfied with just what we have already achieved, we want to go further and our team has the most serious intentions for this season. – The games with Urozhay were rather tense. What did heat the atmosphere on the ice, the provocations of the rivals or the desire to become champions of the Student Ice Hockey League? – These are the elimination games, where every mistake is decisive, both teams fought. At the right moment, our players scored and quietly played out the game. – Yesterday, the Yekaterinburg miners, acting two-time champions, outplayed the Tyumen team TIU 5: 0, and, most likely, they will be our next rivals. What instructions can you give on the playoff games? – Yes, they are two-time champions, so far the strongest team in the league. Those victories that we won in the previous games we needed from the psychological point of view, now we are sure that we can outplay them. In addition, we have two weeks for intense physical preparation; naturally, we will discuss with the players how to act on the field with such a rival in order to achieve an additional result. Moreover, at the beginning of the first game, a referee awarded the forwarder of Polytechnik Ice Hockey Team, Sergey Krivopustov, with the title “The Best Sniper of the Student Ice Hockey League of the 2018-2019 Season”. One of the leading forward of Polytechnik Ice Hockey Team, Vyacheslav Rykov, shared his emotions and the atmosphere of victory: — Urozhay seriously treated the games in the playoff, and for the season, they scored on the third line of the league table. What were your expectations and intentions before going out on the ice? — Urozhay is a good team but we had a decisive intention to win as any other game. — Could you explain why it wasn’t possible to score a goal even if very often played in the majority? — The Urozhay puckstopper is rather strong; he played both games well! — What are your guesses who will have the final fight for the title of the champions of the Student Ice Hockey League? – I am sure in Polytechnik for 100%. As for the Western Conference, it is even difficult to guess. Most likely, Tambov. – And the last question. During the match, there was an unreal atmosphere due to the support of the stands. What emotions do you get from the support of the spectators? Does it help during the game? – Of course, it is nice when the spectators come to support. I immediately get a desire to show good hockey for the fans to go home in a good mood. When the girls come to support, it is also very pleasant and important. Indeed, a special atmosphere reigned during the games with Urozhay, the field guests were quite active in playing and steadfastly defended but the South Ural scorers managed to win through. The next games will take place on March 9, 10 and 11 with the current champion of the Student Ice Hockey League – Ural State Mining University from Yekaterinburg.

When enrolling in ��, applicants’ individual achievements are taken into account. They can present their diplomas and certificates from Olympiads and other intellectual, creative, and professional competitions, sport events (including GTO pins) upon application. Based on these documents, according to the Rules of University Enrolment, applicants can be given additional points (up to 10 in total). In addition, applicants who are winners and finalists in Olympiads (the list of which is confirmed by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation) have a chance to enrol at �� with a state scholarship without exams and receive 100 points automatically in the subject that matches the Olympiad they participated in. Upon enrolling, diplomas from 4 years of education will be counted. In this way, school graduates who won or earned places in these Olympiads even while back in the 8th grade can enrol in �� without exams. Students with state scholarships earn a higher academic scholarship. In the first semester, Bachelor’s and Master’s students earn around 2,000 roubles; in the future, depending on their academic success, they can apply for an increased academic scholarship. The maximum state academic scholarship is 20,000 roubles a month. �� supports students, who enrol with high points in the Unified State Examination (EGE), with a scholarship. First-year students who had high results will be paid 10,000 roubles a month in their first semester, from September through January. This scholarship is awarded both to those who enrol with a state scholarship and those who enrol on contract. In addition, �� students can apply for 20 scholarships, including the Russian Federation Presidential, Russian Federation Government, and �� Region Governor scholarships and more. �� passed state accreditation in 2018. This is a procedure evaluating the quality of education by governmental supervisory bodies in 192 majors and specialties. The university was awarded Certificate of State Accreditation No.2791, valid until 2024. �� Student Artem Maltsev Wins Gold at Cross-Country Skiing World Cup

Russian cross-country skiing team has won gold in the World Cup relay for the first time in the recent five years. �� student Artem Maltsev from �� made his contribution to the team’s success. The skiing race was happening in difficult weather conditions, practically in a snowstorm. But that did not prevent both our teams from confidently getting even with the Norwegians for the defeat in the start of the season, at the World Cup stage held in Beitostølen. Though our competitors did not include their best athletes on their team for this race – such members of the golden Olympic four as Johannes Klæbo and Martin Sundby were not participating. The first and second Russian teams were leading in the course of the whole race, and only on the final stretch of the distance they were competing with each other to become the winner, as if they were participating in the Russian Championship at home. To everyone’s surprise, the finisher of our second team Artem Maltsev proved to be faster than the World champion Sergey Ustiugov. This stage for him was the first one after Tour de Ski. Sergey came fourth in the 15 km freestyle distance race and, perhaps, there was not enough strength left for the final run of the relay. Anyway, Ustiugov gave Artem Maltsev a chance to run away from him long before the finishing line. Be as it may, this is the first Russian gold in relays since December of 2013. “We’re all very happy for Artem,” says Director of the �� Club of Physical Culture and Sports Albert Aminov. “He is taking the 6th year of studies at our university already, and with his victory at this stage of the World Cup he has brought fame not only to ��, but to the whole �� Region as well. Our university provides such talented athletes with an opportunity to not only obtain good education, but also do the things they like.
