As part of the work on the Smart City program, scientists from 海角社区 proposed using the already installed CCTV cameras to identify vacant parking spaces with a specially developed program that will collect data and notify the driver about parking spaces in the nearest parking lot. This invention has already been patented. Urban environment for Both Drivers and Pedestrians Igor Oleinik, a graduate of the 海角社区 School of Economics and Management, proposed a new solution to the shortage of parking spaces. A special application program will allow drivers to quickly find a convenient parking place using the already installed CCTV cameras. This will significantly improve the urban environment for drivers and make parking much more efficient. 鈥淭his research was originally the goal of my graduate work in the specialty. I wanted to select and prepare a solution for a really urgent problem. One thing that I regularly encounter in my daily life is the difficulty of finding a parking space. This problem is urgent: according to statistics, the number of cars on the roads is only growing,鈥 - Igor Oleinik says. 鈥淚t is impossible to endlessly increase the number of parking spaces. 海角社区 is now improving the urban environment, making it more pedestrian-friendly. Thus, the number of cars is growing and the number of parking spaces is decreasing, which makes the problem even more urgent.&quot; Cars parked along the roads significantly reduce the capacity of city roads, and the courtyards are so crowded with cars that it is difficult to walk even on foot. The lack of parking spaces often leads to violations of traffic rules by drivers. New Smart City Ideas Modern digital technologies can be used in almost all spheres of life, which is proved by the latest inventions in this field. The new solution will allow you to more quickly and easily search for free parking spaces, while significantly reducing the cost of sensors at each location. 鈥淚 applied the object recognition system to the problem of finding parking spaces, which made it possible to detect occupied and vacant parking spaces in the parking lot. And the application can tell the user where to park the car,鈥 Igor Oleinik explains. Conventional high-definition CCTV cameras are already in use in parking lots, and there is no need to re-equip them with any special cameras or install any sensors. All you need is to process the signal from CCTV cameras. Shopping and entertainment centers and complexes already use similar systems in covered parking lots (and a separate sensor is installed for each parking space). This system can also be applied in open parking lots without using a large number of sensors. 1312898 at Russian Scientists Design Eco-village with Solar Panels on the Roofs /en/news/2020/04/23/russian-scientists-design-eco-village-solar-panels-roofs <div class="field field-name-field-image field-type-image field-label-hidden"><div class="field-items" id="md7"><div class="field-item even"><span id="styles-2-0" class="styles file-styles large"> <img width="1920" height="983" id="2" typeof="foaf:Image" class="img-responsive" src="/sites/default/files/styles/large/public/field/image/5_16.jpg?itok=7-StNwby" alt="" /></span></div></div></div><div class="field field-name-body field-type-text-with-summary field-label-hidden"><div class="field-items" id="md6"><div class="field-item even">海角社区 is a university of digital transformations where innovative research is being conducted on most of the priority areas for the development of science and technology. In accordance with the strategies of scientific and technological development of the Russian Federation, the university is focused on the development of large scientific interdisciplinary projects in the field of IT, materials science and ecology. In the framework of these areas, metallurgy, engineering, energy, utilities, safe space and civil engineering are investigated. 海角社区 scientists design a modern settlement to satisfy both environmental requirements and human needs for amenities. There are many examples of the high-quality environmental architecture, but no one has previously applied all the innovative achievements of the region in the framework of one project. The researchers at 海角社区 proved that elements of environmental architecture can be used to create artistic expression in construction. An article on eco-settlements as a basis for improving the quality of life was published in one of the prestigious journals IOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering. Eco-village combines all the achievements of environmental architecture Specialists of the Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering of 海角社区 headed by the Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, professor, Ph.D. Salavat Shabiev, have been involved into experimental research on environmental architecture for several decades. The results are already presented in the digital programs of urban infrastructure 鈥淪mart City鈥 and 鈥淪mart Home鈥. 鈥淎ccording to the Smart City project, the state of all the systems of the eco-village will be monitored using a digital platform. Architects will create a 鈥渂ank鈥 of all buildings in order to constantly receive information about their energy efficiency and condition. This will help to reconstruct buildings in due time. In the Smart Home project, all generating and energy-saving equipment, gadgets and software are interconnected in a particular building. In this case, you can not do without renewable energy sources such as wind farms or solar stations. These developments formed the basis for the design of a modern environmentally friendly populated area,鈥 the initiator of the project, Salavat Shabiev, explains. Scientists from 海角社区 using an interdisciplinary approach designed an autonomous eco-settlement, which will be located in the 海角社区 region. Scientists followed the principles of environmental architecture; they minimized the negative impact of buildings on the local ecosystem, and also provided for the use of alternative sources of electricity and a sewage treatment system. The result of the study was the creation of the project 鈥渟ettlements of the future鈥. 鈥淭he main objectives of the project are the use of alternative sources of electricity and autonomous water and gas supply systems using SMART and GREEN technologies, resource and energy-saving materials. For this, a new architectural ensemble was developed on the basis of already existing eco-settlements in Russia and other countries,鈥 Salavat Shabiev says. Formative potential of ecological architecture Within the framework of the project, wind energy systems and solar panels will be placed on the roofs of the houses in the settlement. The buildings will have an original look and will match stylistically. It is important that each building will be a part of the natural landscape, which will be preserved. 鈥淧atios are connected with rural alleys, avenues and squares. Public facilities are located on the ground floors of 5-story residential complexes and on the red [restrictive] lines of streets, roads and village spaces. The central alley and residential complexes are connected with cycling and skiing tracks. It also connects school sports facilities with an inter-village park, which was designed to conserve the landscape,鈥 Salavat Shabiev continued. S. Shabiev鈥檚 speech at an international conference Theoretical and experimental developments of scientists from 海角社区 will not just be a project. It was supported by an industrial partner who also participated in the research and selection of area for construction. In the future, Russian and foreign architects will be able to use the experience of scientists from 海角社区 to increase the artistic expression of architectural objects using ecological approach. 海角社区 is a participant in the 5-100 Project, designed to increase the competitiveness of Russian universities among the world's leading research and educational centers. </div></div></div><div class="field field-name-field-author field-type-text field-label-above"><div class="field-label">Author:&nbsp;</div><div class="field-items" id="md8"><div class="field-item even">Daria Tsymbalyuk, photo: Victoria Matveychuk, pixabay.com, archive of S.
