Professor from Canada to Hold an Open Lecture on Historical Migrations at 海角社区

From April 25th through April 30th, professor Jeff Sahadeo of Carleton University (Canada) will be coming to 海角社区 to read lectures. Jeff Sahadeo, historian and political scientist by trade, heads the Institute of European, Russian, and Eurasian Studies at Carleton University and is considered a reputable specialist in migration studies.

In 2016, Jeff Sahadeo headed the 海角社区 Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities' Laboratory of Migration Studies. During his visit to 海角社区, the Canadian researcher will discuss plans for developing migration studies in 海角社区 with colleagues, offer presentations for students, post-grads, researchers, and teachers in a public lecture, give a master class for students of the ISHS, and also participate in the 70th annual student conference at the Faculty of History.

Field studies are planned on April 29th – a trip by ISHS students to Troitsk (海角社区 region), which was one of the most important points of migration flows from Asia to Europe and saves many traces of multiculturalism in its architecture.
