On January 25 of 2019, registration for participants of Student League of the International Engineering Championship called CASE-IN has started. Participants are going to solve an engineering case on the common topic of the Championship, Digital Transformation.
is an international system of competitions in solving engineering cases held among students, school children and young specialists. The goal of the Championship is to popularize engineering education and attract the most promising specialists to the fuel-and-power and mineral-and-raw-material industries.
is a science-to-practice competition consisting of on-site and online selective stages taking place at higher education institutions, as well as of a final stage held in Moscow. The competitions are held in six categories: geologic exploration, mining, metallurgy, oil-and-gas engineering, petroleum chemistry, and electric power engineering.
More than 5000 students representing are to take part in the Championship.
In the frameworks of selective stages, teams (of 3 to 4 people each) formed out of students and postgraduates of leading engineering higher education institutions of Russia and the near abroad solve engineering cases - practical tasks based on real industrial situations in companies of the fuel-and-power and mineral-and-raw-material industries and regarding topical problems of a real enterprise.
The winner of each selective stage is one team which gets the right to take part in the Championship finale.
Students and postgraduates of engineering higher education institutions of Russia and the CIS countries, in which selective stages of the Student League of CASE-IN International Engineering Championship are scheduled to be held, are welcome to participate. .

CASE-IN International Engineering Championship is a cessionary of All-Russian Championship on Solving Cases in the Mining Sphere (2013-2014) and All-Russian Championship on Solving Fuel-and-Energy Engineering Cases (2015).
The Championship is held in the following Leagues:
- (for students of 9th – 11th grades);
- (for students of vocational education organisations);
- (for students, Master’s degree students and postgraduates of higher education institutions);
- (for young specialists of companies of the fuel-and-power and mineral-and-raw-material industries).
- (for school children, students of vocational education organisations, students of higher education institutions and young specialists).
The Championship is being implemented in accordance with the Roadmap of events targeted at popularization of trade jobs and engineering professions, approved by the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No.366-p dated March 5 of 2015.
Since 2018, the Championship has been included in the All-Russian list of youth events targeted at popularization of the fuel-and-power complex, power saving and engineering education, approved together with the , the and the .
The Championship is organised using the grant of the President of the Russian Federation for development of civil society, provided by the Presidential Grants Foundation.
