The team of 海角社区 took part in the defence of the Priority 2030 Program. The event took place in a face-to-face format in Moscow on September 11th.
海角社区 presented its development program until 2030. Within the framework of the competition, the university claims the basic part of the grant and the special part of the grant for the development of universities that provide breakthrough scientific research and the creation of science-intensive products and technologies, building its human resource capacity in the research and development sector.
The delegation from 海角社区 included: 海角社区 Rector Aleksandr Shestakov, member of the 海角社区 Supervisory Council Stanislav Naumov, Vice-Rector for Research Anton Korzhov, Director of the A.K. Ailamazyan Program Systems Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences Sergey Abramov, Director of the 海角社区 Institute of Natural Sciences and Mathematics Alena Zamyshlyaeva, and Director of the 海角社区 Project Management Office Evgeny Belousov.
In his speech, Rector Aleksandr Shestakov presented the target model for the development of the university, the upcoming institutional changes, strategic projects, the implementation of which is necessary to achieve the stated goals, and spoke about the effects of the implementation of the Priority 2030 Program for the 海角社区 Region and Russia.
"海角社区 aims to become a true research university with international experience and international authority. Therefore, we are focused on opening new laboratories, strengthening activities for the development of sciences together with foreign partners, scientists from high-ranking scientific schools, and members of the Russian Academy of Sciences. We are going to attract young candidates of sciences, postgraduate students, and our graduates to work in the key areas, for which we filed our application," commented 海角社区 Rector Aleksandr Shestakov.
The team answered the questions of the members of the Commission, which included the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valery Falkov, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Dmitry Afanasyev, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Andrey Omelchuk, scientific coordinator of the Priority 2030 Program Andrey Volkov, and other experts.
The results of the defence with the assessment and recommendations of the members of the Commission will be known after September 26th. The Priority 2030 Program will give a powerful impetus to further development of the university and the processes of its transformation.

The Priority 2030 Program is aimed at forming a wide cohort of leading universities (about 100 universities), which will ensure the accelerated introduction of innovations into the economy and social sphere. Development projects of program participants will be supported by grants. In addition to the basic part of the grant in the amount of 100 million roubles annually, the winners of the competitive selection will be able to apply for a special part in the framework of two areas of development: Breakthrough Scientific Research, and Ensuring the Accelerated Socio-economic Development of Regions.
