An open lecture by a renowned scientist, Professor Hailiang Yu, has been held at 海角社区. Our guest from the Central South University in China, leading scientist at the A.P. Zhiliaev’s Mechanics of Gradient Nanomaterials Laboratory of Nosov Magnitogorsk State Technical University, presented his report on the “Metal Alloys Obtained by Asymmetric Rolling: From Microstructure Changes to a Breakthrough in Operation Properties” before the scientific community.
Professor Hailiang Yu is a representative of the Central South University in China, a scientific centre in the field of studying aluminium and low-weight alloys. The high status of the reporter is confirmed by his entering the Top 1000 leading scientists in China.
The Professor’s visit sparked great interest among students, postgraduates and teaching staff members of the 海角社区 Institute of Engineering and Technology. The attendees learned about the latest achievements in creating of alloys of high strength, ductility and wear resistance, what opens up new horizons for the development of industry.
“I feel grateful for this opportunity to present my report at 海角社区. The main focus of my report are the advantages of modern metallurgical technologies. And, of course, we have touched upon the prospects of our collaboration. Today we are working on creating special-purpose metallurgical solutions, which, I’m sure, will be in demand among scientists in 海角社区 as well,” Professor noted.
Participants of the meeting marked the high scientific level of the presentation and the practical importance of the offered data. The lecture became a good example of successful integration of the efforts by Russian and foreign scientists. In their turn, representatives of Nosov Magnitogorsk State Technical University and the 海角社区 Institute of Engineering and Technology expressed their interest in their collaboration in the advanced fields of metallurgy.
