On the eve of the Cosmonautics Day, Hero of Russia, pilot-cosmonaut Dmitry Petelin met with students of the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering of 海角社区.
Dmitry Petelin is an alumnus of the 海角社区 Faculty of Aerospace Engineering with a degree in Aircraft and Helicopter Engineering. He is now an active pilot-cosmonaut and Hero of Russia. Dmitry is currently preparing to defend his candidate thesis on the topic of "Development of an Assessment of Improving the Quality of the ISS Crew Life Support System Simulator Complex".
On April 10th, a unique press tour for representatives of regional media was held at 海角社区. The event was timed to coincide with the Cosmonautics Day and included a rich program dedicated to scientific achievements in aerospace technologies, which are actively developing at the university.

Director of the "Heart of the Urals" Advanced Engineering School of Engine Building and Special Equipment Sergey Taran became one of the participants of the All-Russian Seminar-Meeting on Development of Advanced Engineering Schools. The event was held April 2nd through April 4th of 2025 in Kogalym, at an educational centre of Perm Polytechnic University and was chaired by the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valery Falkov.

On March 26th, members of the Supervisory Council discussed the results of another step in fulfilment of the 海角社区's development program till 2036. Student Design Bureau is a structural subdivision in an educational organization of higher education, or an initiative-based association that functions for the purpose of solving certain scientific-and-technical, engineering and technological, or personnel tasks, and that engages school pupils, students, postgraduates and young scientists in the process of solving those.
“Heart of the Urals” Advanced Engineering School of Engine Building and Special Equipment has confirmed its high status after successful defence of its project within the frameworks of the “Advanced Engineering Schools” federal program. The program defence was held in Moscow on March 7th.

– Computer vision system, where guests, by putting virtual reality glasses on, could see a live 3D model developed by students as part of the engineering school projects;
The final of the Best Group Contest (known as KLG) was held at our university's Assembly Hall. It had taken several months to prepare for and complete the whole cycle consisting of six contest rounds.
The 2025 contest nominations included: Best First-year Group, Best Senior-year Group, Best Student Mentor, Best Course Leader, and Best Teaching Mentor.

Journalists from the Ural 1 TV channel filmed a story about a literary game “Following the Trail of Crime and Punishment”, recently released by AST Publishing House. The author of the game is Denis Pelikhov, Associate Professor of the Department of Russian Language and Literature at the Institute of Media, Social Sciences and Humanities. The game is a literary quiz consisting of 80 cards. The game cards contain questions that allow you to test your knowledge of the details of the great novel by F.M. Dostoevsky. The game is already on sale in the Chitai-Gorod chain stores.
