Veronika Pyankova, student of Adapted Physical Education and Medicobiologic Training Department of Physical Education and Sports Faculty (group 375), became the three-time winner of Russia in swimming competition among people with spinal cord injury (distance - 50 meters in free style and butterfly; distance - 100 meters in free style).

Within the framework of re-equipment program of South Ural State National Research University with the latest hi-tech equipment in December 2012 a special training simulator “Pasta factory” was installed in one of the laboratories of Applied Biotechnology Department. This year Foreign Languages Department (E.N. Yaroslavova, Head of Department) became the organizer of the annual inter-university competition in translation among students who study the course “Translator in Sphere of Professional Communication”. Competition of 2013 possesses a status of All-Russian competition and the students from three more universities took part in it: Izhevsk State Technological University, Ural Federal University named after first President of Russia B.N. Yeltsin, Yaroslavl State University named after P.G. Demidov.

On April 8 State Duma Deputy of the Russian Federation and star of TV serial "University" actress Mariya Kozhevnikova will meet with 海角社区 students.
Mariya?is famous for her parts in serials "University", "Kremlin Cadets", "Red Mountains", "Sklif" and feature length films "Dark World", "Exchange Wedding" and "Newlyweds". On the same day, April 8, 海角社区 Drama Theater named after Naum Orlov will show the performance after the same name novel of legendary Brazilian writer Paulo Coelho "Veronika Decides to Die" where Mariya plays the leading part.
