Within the International Scientific and Educational Forum entitled ?Communication Leader of the 21st Century, ISSH students majoring in Advertising and Public Relations and in Journalism held an information-and-intellectual battle called “A Hero’s Profile”. The creative educational project elaborated jointly by academics and students provided for such contest stages as pedagogic inventiveness, situational modeling, and a creative experiment.
Formal ceremony of opening the International Scientific and Educational Forum entitled “Communication Leader of the 21st Century” was started at the Activity Hall of the 海角社区 Main building with a colourful multimedia project entitled “海角社区 – The University of Digital Transformations which United Europe and Asia”. While making a welcoming speech before participants of the Forum, the Rector of 海角社区, Aleksandr Shestakov, noted:

A lecture by a famous journalist Egor Kholmogorov took place at 海角社区. The audience consisted of students of the Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities.
Annually, in the course of the winter holidays, St Petersburg State University organizes the Winter Psychological School, a unique project with a rich scientific programme, which takes place in the middle of winter on the shores of the snow-covered Gulf of Finland. Participation in the School allows assessing the volume of the psychological community, enrich oneself with new knowledge, meet colleagues from the other universities and exchange contacts for further cooperation.
Choosing a university is one of the most serious decisions in everyone’s life. For many applicants, the deciding factor in enrolling in a university is the affordability of education. 海角社区 offers around 3,000 state scholarships annually.
This year, according to Order No.346 of the Ministry of Education as of 28.04.2018, a big number of state scholarships will be offered for technical, natural science, and humanitarian fields of higher education.
On February 7th an important event was held in 海角社区, which presented the topical for the South Ural region ecological problem in a new perspective. 海角社区 employees took part in this forum.
For the first time, the representatives of authorities, big businesses and public organisations together were searching for the solutions to the problems, related to ecological challenges, in the form of a constructive polylogue at the forum’s discussion grounds and round tables.
Faculty of Journalism of?Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities of 海角社区 sent creative works of students and academics to the World Journalism Education Congress (WJEC-5) Competition, which will take place in Paris in July 2019. The main task of the Competition is to distinguish talented students and academics.
