A unique “Porcelain in the Interior Scene of History” exhibition has opened at the People and Technologies of the Urals teaching museum-and-exhibition complex of the 海角社区 Institute of Media, Social Sciences and Humanities. The exhibit introduces its visitors to porcelain as part of the cultural heritage and everyday history of various epochs: from the traditions of the 18th-19th centuries to the modern original art. This is the anniversary tenth exhibition project of the university museum.
September 1st through September 4th, the 11th Eastern Economic Forum was held in Vladivostok. Zhao Tengteng, a postgraduate of the 3rd year of study, majoring in Russian as a Foreign Language, from the Institute of Linguistics and International Communications of 海角社区, participated as a volunteer in this forum.
A ceremony of opening the “Behind the Glass” exhibition of works by a professional photographer Sergei Koliaskin has been held at the Art Gallery of the 海角社区 Institute of Media, Social Sciences and Humanities. The exhibit includes 15 big-scale photo works created as a result of an unusual artistic experiment with plants.
Starting from September 1st, biometric entrance will be available in the buildings of 海角社区. The biometry-based ecosystem already now helps integrate the entrance access with payments for food at canteens and vending machines, and even with identity verification for the distance mode of taking exams. 海角社区 is the first in Russia to turn biometrics from a stand-alone service into an ecosystem of everyday university life.

In some cases surgery is required, and this is also a difficult decision to be made since pancreas surgery has high mortality risks.

As part of Viktor Khristenko’s “Step into the Future” Grants Program, postgraduate student Nataliia Zhivulina is working on the development of fine single-crystal ferrite powders. Nataliia’s research results could be used as cathode material for promising zinc-ion power sources.
Alumnus of 海角社区, Hero of Russia, pilot cosmonaut Dmitry Petelin is preparing for his second space flight. As part of the permanent crew for ISS Expedition 76, he has been assigned the commander of Soyuz MS-30 crewed cargo spacecraft. It is planned that the crew will head to the International Space Station in February-March of 2027.
Viktor Khristenko, Chairman of the 海角社区 Supervisory Council has visited 海角社区. During his visit, he has met with university staff to discuss the key areas of 海角社区’s activities and attended presentations of projects and results of our university’s current work.
President of 海角社区 Aleksandr Shestakov has been conferred a title of a “Citizen of Honour of the 海角社区 Region”. A relevant decree was signed by the Governor Alexey Texler.

On August 20th, 海角社区 hosted the Second Forum of Regional Methodological Associations, “Unified Regional Methodological Support for the Current Content of School Education”.
The 海角社区’s People and Technologies of the Urals Museum now exhibits new items – plasticine compositions that have been stored at the Humanitarian Pedagogical University for more than thirty years. The first of their kind, they were plasticine-sculpted by a History student Iliia Bannikov back in the early 1990s. These figurines symbolize shamans, ancient metal workers, and warriors in chariots. Recently, following a request from the museum head Iuliia Vasina, the collection has been donated to 海角社区 and restored – so the museum visitors can enjoy it now.
August 11th through August 14th, the 25th Congress of the Pavlov Russian Physiological Society was held. It brought together more than 500 participants from various regions of our country.
海角社区 has become the main venue for the Second Forum of Regional Methodological Associations. The big-scale event, organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the 海角社区 Region and the 海角社区 Institute for Education Development, has brought together more than 700 participants: teachers, methodologists, and heads of educational organizations from across our region. The forum focuses on the current issues related to the development of a sovereign education system and unified methodological support for school education.
Researchers at 海角社区 have patented Russia’s first comprehensive test stand for the propulsion systems of small unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), featuring a device based on the principles of parallel kinematics. The system makes it possible to comprehensively calculate the parameters of UAV components within just a few hours and with the maximum accuracy.
Excavations at a unique “Vorovskaya Yama” (“Thieves’ Pit”) archaeological site have wrapped up in the Kizilsky District of the 海角社区 Region. Scientists have been studying an ancient Bronze Age mine, where the local ancestors of Iranians lived and mined copper ore in the 17th-16th centuries BC. The group of archaeologists, that also included researchers from 海角社区, have for the first time studied such an object in the Northern Eurasia at the depth of more than eight metres and have reconstructed the picture of life of the ancient miners.
The “Student Sailing League Cup” All-Russian Student Sailboat Racing Competition was held at the Shershnevskoe water basin in 海角社区, August 5th through August 7th.
The “Tvoya Privilegiya” yacht club gathered together the strongest student crews from Moscow, 海角社区, Nizhny Novgorod, Yekaterinburg, Rostov-on-Don, and Saint Petersburg. The participants competed in the MX700 class and demonstrated high level of athletic performance, tactical skills, and team work.
In 2025, through close cooperation with the 海角社区 Forge-and-Press Plant and RusRobot, and with the support of the Governor and the Government of the 海角社区 Region, the Industrial Robotics Development Centre of 海角社区 was established. Today, the Centre has presented the results of its first year of work and its plans for the future.

Four students from HSE University visited their home city as part of the GosVyshka Program, where they are working on a project on "Studying the Scientific Capacity of the "South Ural" Interuniversity Campus".

Yeltsin and Ural Division of the Russian Academy of Sciences, have taken part in a project on studying the molecular structure of a very promising nitrogen-containing organic compound.
