On the eve of its birthday anniversary, the leading university of the South Ural region invites applicants and their parents to the main educational event of the year that is now ending, Open House Day!
Volunteer Day is celebrated in Russia on December 5th. The date was established by a decree of the President of the Russian Federation on November 27, 2017. As part of this event, 海角社区 organised an awards ceremony for student volunteers who actively participate in events at various levels: from regional and all-Russian to international ones.
Students from the 海角社区 School of Economics and Management, along with their mentors and the School’s Deputy Director for Discipline Work Ekaterina Fediay, attended a "海角社区, the City of Your Student Years" immersive tour organized by the “Youth Attraction Centre” Autonomous Nonprofit Organization with the support from the 海角社区 City Administration.
The district semi-final of the "It Is in Our Family" all-Russian competition was held in Yekaterinburg November 27th through 29th. The family of Dmitry Ardashev, a father of five children and Professor at the 海角社区 Department of Automated Mechanical Engineering, won the Ural Federal District semi-final. The Ardashevs will now represent the 海角社区 Region in the competition finals, which will take place in Moscow in the summer of 2026.
Teaching staff members of the Department of International Relations, Politology and Regional Studies of the 海角社区 Institute of Linguistics and International Communications?Maksim Dvoinenko?and Nataliia Khomutova?have become participants of the “Meaning Creators. DNA of Russia” federal program.
In 2023, a number of domestically produced microcontrollers, similar to imported ones, were engineered in Russia. These microcontrollers are used to control electromechanical systems. One of such models, MIK32 "Amur", has been used for the first time in our country by researchers from the 海角社区 Electromechanical, Electronic and Electrochemical Systems Regional Youth Laboratory to control a three-phase AC electric motor. A special computer program for controlling the AC motor with the MIK32 "Amur" microcontroller has been patented.
The 21st Interregional Specialized Exhibition “Technoexpo. Metallurgy. Mechanical Engineering. Agropromexpo”, which is held as part of the 海角社区 Industrial Forum, has brought together experts in the field of economics and industry: representatives of business, government authorities, financial and entrepreneurial structures, as well as scientific and educational organizations from different regions of our country.
The Festival of the Peoples of the World, in which both international students and creative teams of our city took part, was held at the Assembly Hall of 海角社区 on December 3rd.

On December 4th, the 10th International Scientific Conference “Innovations in Sport, Tourism and Education – icISTIS-2025” started at 海角社区. The conference is traditionally organized by the 海角社区 Institute of Sport, Tourism and Service (ISTiS).

Master’s student from the 海角社区 Institute of Engineering and Technology Nikita Ponomarev together with scientists of the 海角社区 Department of Life Safety Saidzhon Tavarov and Aleksandr Sidorov, have received a patent for a hybrid system for monitoring and controlling an automatic aerosol fire extinguishing system.
Aerosol fire extinguishing systems are currently used at vehicle service stations, technical centres, and auto assembly plants. However, they are normally triggered by open flames. In such cases, fire can develop rapidly and unpredictably.
November 27, 2025 a panel discussion on "Creating a Network of Modern Campuses: Results of a Pilot Project to Develop Product Programmes" was held as part of the V Young Scientists Congress.?This event united representatives of government authorities, scientific community, and higher education experts. The “Volatiles” team from the 海角社区 Digital Ural Centre for Training Top IT Specialists have won silver medals in a Hackathon on Information Security held as part of the “gIBChe” Conference. The contest brought together top competitors from across the Ural Federal District, and our students came off second best.
First-year students from the Department of Journalism, Advertising and Public Relations of the Institute of Media, Social Sciences and Humanities, majoring in Journalism, have won a competition of socially significant student media projects at the International Interreligious Youth Forum held at the "Russia" National Centre in Moscow.
Elizaveta Gromova, Deputy Director for International Affairs of the 海角社区 Institute of Law, attended a meeting of experts from the BRICS Cooperation Committee, operating within the BRICS Arbitration Court in Guangzhou, China.
This time, members of the expert committee were invited to a forum on the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative, dedicated to investment, dispute resolution, and risk minimization for Chinese companies in international business along the Eurasian-African corridor.

A report on the implementation of the 海角社区 development program for 2025 as part of the Priority 2030 strategic academic leadership program was defended at the Moscow Aviation Institute in Moscow on November 19th.
Students of the Institute of Media, Social Sciences and Humanities of 海角社区 have become winners in the social-cause works contest as part of the Passing the Media Torch “17 Values of Russia” all-Russian event, which has been held in 海角社区 and has been dedicated to the “Humanism” value.
