October 1st through 30th the International Office was holding a contest on the occasion of the 75th Anniversary of our university. More than 20 contest works in different formats, essays or videos, were received by the organisers. The task set before the participants had included sharing their stories that had happened to them during their living in Russia and studying at the university.
A meeting was held at the Faculty of Military Education of 海角社区 between the faculty students and a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, recipient of the Order of the Patriotic War 2nd class, of two “For Courage” medals, and three “For Battle Merit” medals, retired Lieutenant Colonel Grigoriy Vaganov.
As member of the БМ-13 Katyusha multiple rocket launcher division, Grigoriy Vaganov participated in liberating of Poland, a Soviet territory, from fascists and took part in the Battle of Berlin.
