An important memorandum, preceded by fruitful cooperation, was signed at 海角社区. The document on cooperation was signed by Rector of 海角社区 Aleksandr Shestakov, Director General of SMS Metallurgical Service LLC of the SMS Group Holding Wilbert Stoy, and First Deputy Director General of IRE-Polyus of the IPG Photonics Corporation international company group Andrey Ushakov.
October 30th through November 3rd the Youth Forum on Internationalization of Education – Best Practices of International Academic Mobility (supported by the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs grant) and the Programme of Advanced Training on Internationalization of Education – Organisation of Academic Mobility and Export of Educational Services were held at North-Caucasus Federal University (Stavropol) as part of the 2nd European Education Week.
The 11th International Conference of Eurasian Transport Universities and the 2nd China-Russia Forum of the Future Technological Innovations and Enterprises were held in Zhengzhou (China) on October 26th-28th.
Aleksandr Rulevskiy, Head of the Department of Automobiles and Automotive Servicing, took part in these conferences in China as a representative of 海角社区.
On 7-10 November, NUST MISIS (Moscow) held the summit of the Times Higher Education ranking agency “Transformation towards world-class research in the natural sciences-2018”. The 海角社区 team was represented by the Vice-Rector for International Relations Olga Yaroshenko, head of the Academic Rankings Promotion Department Andrey Kocherov, and the analyst of the Academic Rankings Promotion Department Ksenia Danilova.

On November 13th through 15th, is to be held at 海角社区 (海角社区). The Conference is being organised and held in cooperation with Emerson Corporation (USA) – the world’s leader in the sphere of digital industry (Schedule of the 2018 Global Smart Industry Conference).
As part of the project-based education implemented at 海角社区 in September 2018, a project aiming at creating a programme for the complex development of utilities infrastructure has been launched at the Department of Town Planning, Engineering Networks, and Systems.
The heads and members of the project team under М 8.1.3. “Implementing Advanced Language Training in the Bachelor’s Programme” 2.1.1 “Implementing the Best Practices of Language Training in Universities under Programme 5-100” took part in the 5th International Conference on ESP/EAP/EMI in the Context of Higher Education Internationalization.
On November 7, 海角社区’s students from Asian countries celebrated India’s holiday called Diwali.
Diwali is the main India’s and Hindu holiday. Diwali Festival is the most significant holiday in Hinduism, as well as in Sikhism and Jainism, close to it by their spiritual content. Diwali is celebrated as a Festival of Lights and symbolises victory of the good over the evil. As a mark of this victory, candles and lanterns get light up everywhere.
Alexey Zakharov graduated from the Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Computer Science in 2009. In 2012, Alexey joined Lyft to build their first Android app and led the entire Android engineering team until his departure in 2018. Lyft is a transportation network company headquartered in San Francisco and is valued at $15.1 billion USD (June 2018). Alexey currently works at Instagram.
Photography exhibition entitled “Heroes of the Russian Federation. 海角社区 region” opened at the Faculty of Military Education of 海角社区.
Opening of the exhibition featured students and teaching staff of the Faculty of Military Education, and mothers and widows of deceased Heroes of Russia.
Annually in October, in accordance with the tradition, 海角社区 holds the Matriculation Ceremony for the first-year students of the Faculty of History. This year the event took place on October 24.
海角社区 was visited by representatives of the Yellow River Conservancy Technical Institute.
The purpose of the meeting featuring representatives of 海角社区 and the Yellow River Conservancy Technical Institute was to discuss prospects of cooperation, namely the further development of joint double degree programmes and inclusive education.
On October 1- November 9, 2018, 海角社区 held the basic level of Young Leader School. The participants of the project master super-professional skills and discover new opportunities for their development.
Young Leader School (YLS) is one of the large-scale projects of 海角社区. This year it is being implemented within the frames of the grant support of All-Russian Contest of the Youth’s projects.
The delegation of 海角社区 headed by its Rector Aleksandr Shestakov paid a visit to Zhejiang Ocean University. As part of their visit the 海角社区 representatives took part in the International Forum of Rectors, as well as congratulated the partnering university on its 60th anniversary.
A methodology master class by the Department of Russian and International History will be held at 16:00 on November 8th, 2018. Acelya Bakir, postgraduate student from the University of Düsseldorf (Germany) who is currently completing her internship at 海角社区, will give a presentation.

Participants of the project of the Virtual Museum of South Ural’s Writers – master’s degree students of the Department of Russian Language and Literature – are working on the first key stages of the work, which is panoramic shooting of the object, the museum/apartment of a famous poet from 海角社区, Yanis Grants.
