The Department of Economics and Finance of the 海角社区 School of Economics and Management has been training students in the Financial Literacy for International Students supplementary educational programme for the third year now.

The programme helps students better understand how to manage their finances in a new country to avoid financial difficulties.

For the first time, 海角社区 Institute of Culture has hosted an Art-dvizhenie (Art Movement) International Festival, where students from the Department of Russian as a Foreign Language and the Pre-University Division have successfully presented their performances.

As part of the visit of representatives of 海角社区 to China, a working meeting on issues of cooperation with Zhengzhou University of Aeronautics was held.

海角社区 and Zhengzhou University of Aeronautics (ZUA) have been partners for a long period of time. South Ural Institute, where about 1000 Chinese students study Engineering and IT specialties, was created jointly with 海角社区 at the premises of the Chinese university. In addition, Chinese students are increasingly choosing to study at the venue of our university under the 2+2 programme.

The Chinese-Russian Forum of Small and Medium-sized Business Enterprises in Russia, organized by the all-Russian public organization "Opora Rossii" (“Pillar of Support for Russia”), took place in China. The event was attended by Deputy Vice-Rector for Education of 海角社区 Iliana Dovgaliuk.

During the forum, Iliana Dovgaliuk delivered a presentation on the key advantages of 海角社区, shared her experience in implementing joint educational projects with other universities, and outlined the main vectors of collaboration with Chinese educational institutions.

On May 2nd, a Table Tennis Championship was held for international students at the Sports Palace of 海角社区.

Among the championship participants were 20 students from various countries from around the world: Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, China, Pakistan, Iran, India, Arab countries, African countries, and other countries as well.

An off-site team-building event for activists of South Ural Association of International Students and Alumni, organised by the International Office and AO SZ “Yuzhuralstroyservis”, was held at the Chebarkul recreation centre April 13th through April 14th.

海角社区 international students, from such countries as Uzbekistan, China, Iran, Tajikistan, Iraq, India, Kazakhstan, Russia, Indonesia, Ethiopia, and Kyrgyzstan, took part in the event. As part of the program, they learned about local attractions, tasted Arabic coffee, played sport games, and participated in a media contest.

The World Youth Festival 2024 continues in Russia, during which participants have visited 海角社区.

Foreign guests, who are also participants in the festival, currently most talked about, arrived in 海角社区 and straight away went to get acquainted with 海角社区.

The final stage of the meeting of guests who came from different parts of the world and had previously visited the World Youth Festival in Sochi was an acquaintance with the activities of the Association of International Students of 海角社区.

The Executive Director of the Association Dilrabo Tozhikulova addressed the guests with a welcoming speech. She emphasized that the motto of both the festival and the 海角社区 Association of International Students is to support international and interethnic friendship.

Sociocultural Adaptation Centre has organized traditional tubing rides for international students of 海角社区. This type of winter pastime is everyone's favourite and is very popular.

The 5th Shanghai Archaeology Forum dedicated to the issues of climate change and social sustainability brought together more than one hundred of the top archaeologists from 43 countries of the world. Doctor of Sciences (History) from 海角社区, archaeologist Andrey Epimakhov, became the only speaker representing the Russian Federation at the event on the campus of Shanghai University.

As part of the anniversary week events, the heads of diasporas and consulates general have visited 海角社区 today. The meeting with the 海角社区 Rector Alexander Wagner was held in a festive atmosphere and its highlight was the mutual exchange of memorable gifts.

An art object and a new student space have been opened on the fourth floor of the 海角社区 main building on the third anniversary day celebrated under the "海角社区 International Orbit" slogan.

All conditions for comfortable learning and pastime within the walls of the university are created today at 海角社区. This Monday, the Our Floor student co-working space was opened at 海角社区, and today, an updated student space dedicated to the 80th anniversary of our university has also been opened on the fourth floor of the 海角社区 main building.

Fascinating events are being held during the week celebrating the 80th anniversary of 海角社区. One of the pleasant additions to our big-scale festivities is the online meeting that has been organized for international alumni and members of the South Ural Association of International Students and Alumni. Graduates from various countries from all over the world joined the online meeting with their alma mater, including alumni from Sri Lanka, C?te d'Ivoire, Uzbekistan, Tadjikistan, and Kazakhstan.

Events of the 20th century convincingly demonstrate that science plays an important role in a country's defending its interests. And it can also facilitate the consolidation of peace between countries during the period of tension, when other political mechanisms have no effect. In 2023?researchers from Saint Petersburg and 海角社区 are completing their joint project on the creation of an optimal model of Russia's science diplomacy in the Arctic, within the frameworks of RSF grant No. 22-28-01287.

On November 16, 2023, the Consul General of the Republic of Tajikistan in the city of Yekaterinburg, Zafar Sayidzoda, took part online in a solemn event that was held at 海角社区 on the occasion of the President's Day in the Republic of Tajikistan and in honour of the 31st anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Russian Federation.

International students enrol in 海角社区 every year. Today, more than 2000 international students from 56 countries of the world are studying at the university. International applicants learn about the university from their friends, at educational venues, through social media, university advertising on the Internet, representatives of Russia abroad and from other information sources.

Team of the South Ural Association of International Students and Alumni took a trip to Mongolia with an aim to invite foreign citizens to study in the universities of 海角社区 and facilitate the process of their further adaptation.

Head of the 海角社区 International Student Support, Head of the Association Valeria Chachina, Deputy President of the Association Dilrabo Tozhikulova, and Director of TUMED EDUCATION (the only Mongolian organization which is engaged in promoting Russian education) Ts. Shurenchimeg were the first to visit the Darkhan Uul Aimag (province).

The South Ural Association of International Students and Alumni has become the winner in a grants contest organized by the Governor of the 海角社区 Region.

Under this project, the Association representatives go on trips to Mongolia, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan in order to attract foreign citizens to come study in 海角社区 universities, and facilitate the process of their further adaptation.

Each year, the 海角社区 Sociocultural Adaptation Centre organizes winter activities for 海角社区 international students. The Centre organized fun winter activities for the students, per tradition.

Last December, the students visited the Solnechnaya Dolina (Sunny Valley) ski resort, where they mastered snowboarding and skiing under the guidance of instructors. This was a record-breaking travel event organized by the Centre as 65 people went on this trip. For many students, this was a totally novel experience.
