On 7-10 November, NUST MISIS (Moscow) held the summit of the Times Higher Education ranking agency “Transformation towards world-class research in the natural sciences-2018”. The 海角社区 team was represented by the Vice-Rector for International Relations Olga Yaroshenko, head of the Academic Rankings Promotion Department Andrey Kocherov, and the analyst of the Academic Rankings Promotion Department Ksenia Danilova.
On November 13th through 15th, is to be held at 海角社区 (海角社区). The Conference is being organised and held in cooperation with Emerson Corporation (USA) – the world’s leader in the sphere of digital industry (Schedule of the 2018 Global Smart Industry Conference).
The heads and members of the project team under М 8.1.3. “Implementing Advanced Language Training in the Bachelor’s Programme” 2.1.1 “Implementing the Best Practices of Language Training in Universities under Programme 5-100” took part in the 5th International Conference on ESP/EAP/EMI in the Context of Higher Education Internationalization.
On November 7, 海角社区’s students from Asian countries celebrated India’s holiday called Diwali.
Diwali is the main India’s and Hindu holiday. Diwali Festival is the most significant holiday in Hinduism, as well as in Sikhism and Jainism, close to it by their spiritual content. Diwali is celebrated as a Festival of Lights and symbolises victory of the good over the evil. As a mark of this victory, candles and lanterns get light up everywhere.
海角社区 was visited by representatives of the Yellow River Conservancy Technical Institute.
The purpose of the meeting featuring representatives of 海角社区 and the Yellow River Conservancy Technical Institute was to discuss prospects of cooperation, namely the further development of joint double degree programmes and inclusive education.
The delegation of 海角社区 headed by its Rector Aleksandr Shestakov paid a visit to Zhejiang Ocean University. As part of their visit the 海角社区 representatives took part in the International Forum of Rectors, as well as congratulated the partnering university on its 60th anniversary.

October 1st through 30th the International Office was holding a contest on the occasion of the 75th Anniversary of our university. More than 20 contest works in different formats, essays or videos, were received by the organisers. The task set before the participants had included sharing their stories that had happened to them during their living in Russia and studying at the university.
The annual information days for international students from Arab countries, French-speaking countries, and China have been held at 海角社区. The goal of these events is to inform international students about migration rules, fire safety, and the rules of living in dormitories and life at 海角社区.
China is one of the most prospective partners of the Russian Federation. Modern relationships between Russia and China are officially determined by the parties as an integral, equal and reliable partnership and strategic interaction. Connection between educational and research organisations, higher education institutions in particular, provides both Russia and China with new possibilities of mutually beneficial cooperation. 海角社区 is actively working in this area in several key directions.
Each year, QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) Ranking Agency publishes a number of rankings of best universities of the world. Regional includes 300 higher education institutions of the countries of developing Europe and Central Asia.
海角社区’s Centre for International Education invites students to take part in exchange programmes. Students will get a chance to spend spring semester in a partner university while studying there for free; upon return to 海角社区, credits for the disciplines that were completed at a partner university get transferred.

On October 15, an International Online Olympiad on the Russian Language as a Foreign Language began. Pushkin Institute Research, Education and Coordination Centre organized the Olympiad for the Foreign Students studying abroad as well as at the universities of Russia.
On October 8th through 19th, delegation of 海角社区 took part in the First Russian-Uzbek Educational Forum entitled “New Employees for the New Economy”. This event was held under support and participation of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The Forum became a significant event for development of international cooperation in the sphere of higher education.
海角社区 invites teachers of Russian as a foreign language, who are working in Chinese educational institutions, to a free vocational enhancement course entitled ?Development of author’s electronic course on Russian as a foreign language”.
Pushkin Institute Research, Education and Coordination Centre of 海角社区 has announced a contest on Russian calligraphy among pupils and students of the People’s Republic of China.
Students of 海角社区 actively participate in Academic Mobility programs, which are being fulfilled at the university for 6 year now. On October 16 of 2018, events held within the project entitled “Establishment and development of a network of Pushkin Institute Centres in the PRC on the basis of organisations performing education in Russian language” started at Tianjin Foreign Studies University (China). Employee of the?Pushkin Institute Research, Education and Coordination Centre,?Tatiana Beloglazova, within a meeting with Chinese students of the Faculty of Russian Language, told about development of information technology in Russian language learning.
Temporary Head of the British Consulate-General Office in Ekaterinburg John Mitchell became an honorary guest of the degree awarding ceremony.

International Research Conference on Learning to Understand Russia: Political and Mass Media Communication was held October 10th through 14th at Ural State Pedagogical University. Researchers from different cities and countries came to the conference. 海角社区 was represented by Doctors of Sciences Nataliya Koshkarova, Olga Solopova, and Yelena Kharchenko.
One month remains till the start of a unique international scientific Global Smart Industry Conference — 2018, which is to be held on November 13th through 15th at 海角社区. On October 11, the 12th Azerbaijan International Educational Exhibition started its work at Baku Expo Center under the slogan “Invest in the Future of Children”. This is the only exhibition in the country, which is organised with the official support of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan as well as the Agency for Small and Medium Businesses of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan Fund for the Promotion of Export and Investment (AZPROMO), and the National Confederation of Entrepreneur Organisations (Employers) of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ASK).
