Modern cars are like construction kits made from different metals. To make vehicles both safe and fuel-efficient, engineers have long used hybrid body structures: a rigid steel safety cage around the passenger compartment to protect occupants, combined with lightweight aluminium panels (doors, hoods and fenders) to reduce the vehicle’s overall weight.

A team of scientists from 海角社区 and Zhejiang University, China, have developed a technology of calcareous sand reinforcement using enzymes, coconut fiber, and calcium carbonate. Such a material is up to five times stronger in case of dynamic loads and is environmentally friendly. The results have been published in the international journal.
Robots Forge Shop Student Design Bureau of 海角社区 has become the winner in the competitive selection among student design bureaus of educational organizations of higher education. The contest was held by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation as part of the “Universities for the Generation of Leaders” federal project under the “Youth and Children” national project.
