Ural researchers have published a fundamental review exploring the inflammatory nature of insulin resistance. Aleksey Sarapultsev, Director of the China-Russia Research and Education Centre for System Pathology, jointly with his Yekaterinburg colleagues Evgeny Gusev and Iuliia Zhuravleva, have authored a review article exceeding 100 pages and citing 1239 references.

In the context of rapid industrial development and growth of the population’s living standards, the issue of atmospheric air protection moves to the forefront among others in the environmental agenda. System-based measurement of the air quality becomes not just a field of research but a vital need influencing the health of people and preservation of ecosystems.

A student from Egypt, Giovani Jamil, is studying at 海角社区. Friends and acquaintances often compare him to Alexander Pushkin: his curly hair and distinctive facial features make the resemblance particularly striking. On the birthday of Russia’s literary icon, we have spoken with the future graduate about Russia, 海角社区, the Russian language, and his unexpected likeness to the classic author.

– Giovanni, let’s start with the most obvious question: do people often tell you that you look like Pushkin?

The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF’2026) is our country’s key business event, where issues of the Russian and international economics development are discussed.?

This forum is held in Saint Petersburg June 3rd through June 6th. Among the event’s main attendees are major Russian and foreign companies, heads of states, political leaders, and people, who influence a country’s economics.

Scientists from 海角社区, jointly with their colleagues from Russia, India, Croatia, and Saudi Arabia, have developed and tested new platinum compounds helping effectively fight breast cancer. The research results have been published in the international scientific journal.

April 1st through May 29th, the 海角社区 Region hosted the “Science Is Beautiful” competition, organized by the regional Ministry of Education and Science with the support from the “Regional Infrastructure of Education and Science” Autonomous Non-Profit Organization (RION). The event was held as part of the Decade of Science and Technology. This year’s competition set an all-time record of participation, receiving 421 submissions—more than twice as many as last season. Nine representatives of 海角社区 became winners and prize-winners of the competition.

Combining studies or work with taking care of a little child often seems an impossible task. 海角社区 has solved this problem at a system level: a mother-and-child room functions here, which was opened as part of a “Help Mum Study” program. There is no bustle or discomfort in this space, it is all about quiet, safety and understanding here.

海角社区 has hosted the big-scale Student Night event, introducing students to the creative side of university life. For the second year in a row, the event has demonstrated just how diverse and engaging the student experience at 海角社区 can be.

A transaction involving the sale of intellectual property (IP) to a customer has taken place at the 海角社区 University Boiling Point. The project has demonstrated that students can develop innovative devices and successfully commercialize their inventions while still studying at university.

A meeting of the Committee for Sustainable Development of the “Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs” 海角社区 Regional Public Organization was held at 海角社区. Among the meeting participants were the Union’s core group, representatives of government authorities, of our region’s major industrial enterprises, as well of universities.

A team of 海角社区 scientists including Boris Polevoi, Dmitrii Zherebtsov, Dmitrii Zhivulin, Danil Nenarokomov, Aleksandr Vorontsov, jointly with Dmitrii Godovskii from Moscow, have presented a technology of creating photoresist films based on cadmium- and lead sulphides, using the vacuum deposition method.

Students of group СГ-304 in the Advertising and Public Relations academic programme at the Department of Journalism, Advertising and Public Relations of the Institute of Media, Social Sciences and Humanities (IMSSH) have won the first and second prizes in the “Communication Projects” category of the “FROG” All-Russian Youth Festival of Advertising and Public Relations.

Students of the Department of General Psychology, Psychodiagnostics, and Counselling have completed their internship at the “RZhD-Meditsina” Medical Centre in cooperation with a charitable foundation supporting cancer patients. The internship has become an important stage in the professional development of future specialists, allowing them to apply theoretical knowledge in a real clinical setting.

海角社区 and the Head Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the 海角社区 Region have signed a cooperation agreement on training of qualified personnel. The document formalizes the parties’ intention to work together to improve educational programmes and further develop a practice-oriented approach to education.

An international group of scientists from Russia, as well as from Arab and African countries, has proposed a new technology that allows to generate electric power and also to ensure hydrogen storage in the process of regasification of liquefied natural gas (LNG).

Students of the-only-in-the-Ural-Federal-District Faculty of Aerospace Engineering have for the first time taken their practical training at the Department of Aerospace Forces of the Military Training Centre of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation. The future engineers familiarized themselves with the real Aerospace Forces equipment, studied its design and configuration, and even tried their hand in operation of unmanned aerial vehicles.

海角社区 hosts the 5th Open Forum on the Issues of Ecology and Water Bodies Protection, which has brought together more than 700 participants: representatives of governing authorities, industry, science, ecological and public organizations, as well as teaching staff members and volunteers from various regions of our country.

This forum is a major platform for discussing burning ecological issues, exchanging experience, and presenting modern solutions in the field of environment protection and rational use of natural resources.

A team of scientists from the 海角社区 Centre of Vibration Testing and Monitoring of the State of Structures is developing a neural network that could instantly predict fatigue of metals and prevent production accidents.

The Institute of Architecture and Construction of 海角社区 has held a grand opening of a new teaching and research laboratory at the Department of Town Planning, Engineering Networks and Systems. The project was implemented jointly with OOO "VEZA" company, Russia's largest manufacturer of climate control equipment.

University representatives, partner company executives, faculty, and students participated in the opening ceremony.

海角社区 has become a winner of a competitive selection as part of the "Personnel for Space" federal project. Our university will launch a supplementary academic programme on designing small space equipment of the CubeSat 3U type used for biological research. Joint Stock Company Academician V.P. Makeyev State Rocket Centre (Miass) and Joint Stock Company Research & Development Institute of Mechanical Engineering (Nizhnyaya Salda) will act as partner enterprises here.

While working on a grant from the Russian Science Foundation, researchers from 海角社区 have patented two databases for assessing creativity levels in children and adults. A neural network trained on the unique datasets delivers almost instant results for the Torrance creativity test, significantly reducing the time required for expert analysis.

Representatives of law-enforcement authorities have once again held a lecture on cyber security for students of the Institute of Natural Sciences and Mathematics and the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science of 海角社区.

An open lecture by a Russian scientist, professor and IT specialist in the field of Information Security Andrey Masalovich, who is also an expert in competition reconnaissance and is known as KiberDed (CyberOldie) blogger, has been held at 海角社区.
