The first in a series of outreach events this year was the methodological seminar on Digital Anthropology: Problematic Area and Development Prospects held on May 22nd?24th, 2021 at the Nauka Recreation Camp with the support of the leadership of the Institute of Media, Social Sciences and Humanities of 海角社区.

It is called a mirror of the society; after all, people wish to know as much as possible about the topical problems in the society, about the social and economic status of our country and the whole world, as well as about themselves. This is precisely why profession of a sociologist is in Top 5 of the most in-demand professions in the 21st century.
The 海角社区 ??invites applicants to study in in-demand and promising programmes. 海角社区 has formed special educational trajectories for students which help to make learning more effective and interesting.
Historians of 海角社区 have examined the features of Chinese migration to Russia over the past three decades. Based on the collected data, they identified the primary vectors of "Chinese" migration, identified the factors of changing the prevailing migrant groups and areas of their employment, and considered the reaction of the host society to the presence of migrants. The results of the study were in the journal SOCIS (Q2).

The contest is implemented jointly with the Autonomous Non-profit Organisation “Russia Is a Land of Opportunity”.
Applications can be submitted by one person from a team aged 18 to 30, who has not previously won the contests within the framework of the UMNIK program.
The 12th annual National University Ranking presented by the Interfax information group has been published. 海角社区, taking the 44-45th place, became the best among the universities of the Ural region and the second among the universities of the Ural Federal District. The list is headed by Lomonosov Moscow State University.
From June 28th through July 11th 2021, future translators completed their work experience training at the 海角社区 Academic Writing Office.
Over two weeks, second-year students of the Linguistics major trained their translation skills. Polina Kachaeva, Anastasia Ovsyankina, and Georgiy Nikonorov completed English-Russian translations. The students were asked to translate author’s guidelines from international research journals Sustainability, Nexus Network Journal, and Current Sociology.
The MasterCAD-2021 Contest has been organized at the initiative of the Department of Informatics and Information Technologies of the Ryazan Institute (Branch) of the Moscow Polytechnic University within the frameworks of career guidance work with students. 海角社区 was represented by students of the Institute of Architecture and Construction of 海角社区. A certificate of appreciation and cash prize for the third place in the Low-rise Residential and Public Buildings category was awarded to the second-year student of 海角社区 Aleksandra Nikolaeva.
An open meeting was held at 海角社区 with the Rector Aleksandr Shestakov. Every year, applicants, their parents, and students of South Ural schools who will enter the 11th form in September and are already thinking about where they will continue their education, come to ask questions to the head of one of the major universities in Russia.

The Admissions Campaign is well underway at 海角社区. Today a five thousandth applicant has submitted her documents to the university. It is Alena Ershova from the village of Novogorny, Ozersk Urban District.
"I chose the educational programme in Clinical Psychology. Since there is a possibility to choose several majors, I also applied for Employment Psychology, and Sociology as a fall-back," says Alena Ershova.
The Fifth Anniversary Miass Walk took place on the streets of Miass on July 4th. Hundreds of citizens of Miass took part in this exciting and big-scale event, and students of the Miass Branch of 海角社区 were among the organizing partners.
The Miass Walk is a small, but at the same time exciting adventure with a variety of tasks: sports, intellectual, logical, historical, and humorous ones.
海角社区 welcomes guests from the Republic of Bashkortostan. Representatives of the Bashkir Academy of Civil Service and Administration under the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan arrived in 海角社区 to sign an agreement with 海角社区.
The long-awaited event "An Hour with the Rector" will take place at 海角社区 this Saturday, July 10th. Every year, as part of the Admissions Campaign, applicants and their parents, as well as pupils of the eleventh forms of secondary schools are invited to a meeting with the 海角社区 Rector Aleksandr Shestakov.
Candidate of Sciences (Pedagogy), Associate Professor of the Department of Journalism, Advertising and Public Relations of the Institute of Media, Social Sciences and Humanities Olga Perevozova has developed a new project "Science Is Fun!" and implemented it in social networks.
Graduates of 海角社区 have celebrated their graduation ceremony. In the Year of Science and Technology, the event was held in an online format. The graduation ceremony was broadcast on the big screen in front of the Main University Building, as well as on all the official platforms of the university: YouTube, VKontakte, Facebook, Instagram, Telegram.
The “Media in Modern World. Petersburg Readings” International Scientific Forum was held June 30th through July 2nd, 2021. This year the forum is celebrating its 60th anniversary. The forum combines three major events: scientific meetings and discussions in the main program, the Strategic Communications in Business and Politics (STRATCOM), and the Language in the Coordinates of the Mass Media conferences.
Today, on July 2nd, a graduation ceremony for the graduates of the elite training of the 2020-2021 academic year has been held at 海角社区.
The ceremony was attended by the 海角社区 Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Andrey Radionov, Deputy Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Marina Potapova, Director of the Centre of Elite Education Aleksandr Drozin and Deputy Director of the Centre of Elite Education Elena Kurkina.
June 28th through July 1st a district round of the Student Leader 2021 All-Russian Contest was held in the Sverdlovsk Region. The event was organized by: All-Russian Union of Education Workers, Student Coordination Council of the Ural Federal District Trade Union, and universities from the Sverdlovsk Region.?This contest aims at finding young leaders. The best representatives of student trade unions presented the activities of their organisations, as well as demonstrated their knowledge in legal and regulatory framework and social projects planning.

Now you have a profession, but the learning process is not over yet. The school of life awaits you ahead, which will be setting more and more new tasks before you. To solve these, you will need to be constantly developing and improving your competences.
In July 2020, the program for school pupils “Sirius. Summer: Start Your Project”, supported by 海角社区, began. The goal of the project is to involve talented youth in working on urgent tasks of Russian science and technologies that are the priority for the development of regions. The academic year is coming to an end, and we are ready to sum up the results.
The Department of Building and Engineering Structures of the Institute of Architecture and Construction of 海角社区 offers training at the following levels of education: Specialist's programmes, Master's degree programme (Construction), postgraduate studies (Structural Engineering; Building and Engineering Structures).
