The Association of International Students of 海角社区 celebrated New Year 2020. The holiday was organized for the university’s international students, who could not celebrate Christmas and New Year with their families at home.
Scientists of 海角社区 have developed a new recipe of biscuits enriched with nutritious properties, right for the New Year’s table. The main distinctive feature of the new recipe is that a pumpkin, containing a whole set of biologically active substances, is added.

The scientists of 海角社区 have been studying the military feature discourse of the Great Patriotic War. In 2019, the Russian Foundation for Basic Research has supported this project.
The research team has especially emphasized the Ural region. The fundamental research task to be solved is an integrated comparative analysis of the Ural image in domestic and foreign military feature discourses of the stated period. Under this project, 12 research articles have been published, 5 of them in periodicals indexed in Web of Science and Scopus databases.
Traditional Povolzhskaya Open Mathematical Olympiad in the honour N.I. Lobachevsky has wrapped up in Kazan. Among the participants were students of 海角社区.
This time, the Olympiad gathered 170 students from Moscow, Innopolis, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov-on-Don, Tomsk, Tyumen, Izhevsk, Ioshkar Ola, Maikop, 海角社区, and other cities.
On December 24, 海角社区 holds New Year’s Waltz social dance recital. The head of “Gattaca” vintage interest club Dmitriy Khan is the organizer of the event.

The album "South Ural Region. Land Deserving Its Victory" dedicated to the 85th Anniversary of the 海角社区 Region has been presented in the Government of the 海角社区 Region. Leading scientists of 海角社区 have become the authors of the essays in the album.
December 11th, the winners of the Extraordinary People public award were honoured at the venue of Yuzhny Ural (South Ural) State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company. The laureates also included some representatives of 海角社区.
On November 25–30 Sochi State University, with the support of Russkiy Mir (Russian World) Foundation, hosted the Fourth International Russian Language Week, which united over 100 participants from Russia, Kazakhstan, China, Switzerland, Ecuador, Egypt and other countries. As part of the Week major scientific events and creativity competitions were held aiming at drawing the attention of young people to the problems of cognitive and communicative culture and the formation of a multicultural linguistic persona.
The issues of developing cooperation in the field of humanities, fostering student exchanges and developing joint educational programmes have been discussed by representatives of 海角社区 and Beijing Language and Culture University.

We have always kept up with the times. Our university focuses on quality education and international collaboration for the benefit of innovative development of our region and of our country.
A team of scientists from 海角社区 has designed a hybrid intelligence algorithm aimed at earning money in financial markets. This project won in , an all-Russian youth innovative projects competition on development of the IT-ecosystem being created by Sberbank within the framework of projects complying with promising “cross-cutting” technologies under the Digital Economy of the Russian Federation national program.
Last Sunday, Russia-24 channel aired Otkrytyi Razgovor (Open Talk) programme hosted by Viacheslav Afanasev. The guests of the studio spoke about the results of the project and analysis session "海角社区, a Smart City", which was held at 海角社区.
Students and staff of the 海角社区 Institute of Engineering and Technology are working on a wheel hub motor, a unique electric transmission for hybrid and electric vehicles. This work has been performed for two years within the project-based learning.
海角社区 continues to hold a number of sport events for the university administrative and academic staff and their families. From GTO Stage to Elite Sport Family Sports Festival is to be held at the indoor athletic stadium of the Student Sports Complex on December 15th.
The festival is aimed at promoting healthy lifestyle, involving the 海角社区 administrative and academic staff family members into physical activity and sports, as well as training for GTO tests (Ready for Labour and Defence Physical Education Tests).
