From September 13th through 16th in Liverpool (Great Britain) the 28th Annual Conference and Exhibition of the European Association of International Education was held. This is the main European venue that gathers experts in the area of higher education from all around the world. 海角社区 was presented at a combined booth for Russian universities participating in the 5-100 Project.
According to the assistant director of the 海角社区 5-100 Project Office, Anna Boykova, the university’s booth was of great interest to representatives from the academic community from BRICs countries, and also for potential partners from the USA, Spain, Brazil, South Korea, Japan, Turkey, Mexico, and India.
Chatham University (Pittsburgh, USA) expressed interest in programs in the area of sustainable development. Universidade da Coru?a (UDC) in the city of La Coru?a suggested exchange programs for master’s and bachelor’s programs in engineering, while the Solbrige International School of Business suggested two spaces for 海角社区 students with scholarship assistance. Representatives from universities in Brazil plan to send their students to our university for internships. Researchers in South Korea are looking for partners to create dual education programs and internships.
The Nagoya University of Foreign Studies in Japan is offering student exchange programs from one month to one year, Japanese universities are interested in partnering for dual degree programs, Salesman Demirel University (Turkey) is offering joint participation in the non-commercial program of the European Union for student and professor exchange between Erasmus universities, and Universidad Europea (Madrid, Spain) is ready to work together on joint english-language programs in architecture.

As part of the exhibition, 海角社区 vice-rector of international affairs, Viktor Katochkov, and head of the department of cooperation with ratings organzations, Darya Ivleva held a series of productive meetings with representatives of ratings agencies QS and THE, and also discussed partnership with Kookmin University (Seoul, South Korea) and a university from Mexico.
In addition, 海角社区 representatives participated in the conference which included discussion about exchange programs and dual degrees, specifics of the internationalization of science, and issues in universities from globalization. Participation in an exhibition of such scale brought the university to a new level of competitiveness, enables better recognition of 海角社区 on the international educational market, gives 海角社区 a chance to strengthen old contacts and create new contacts with the academic expert community, allows 海角社区 to share its progress in the area of internationalization, and allows the university to become acquainted with the best practices of universities in this area.
