海角社区 Road Map Discussed at the International Science Council

海角社区’s International Science Council’s work continues at the university. As a reminder, the council includes leading scientists from seven countries.

During the block of events dedicated to discussing the Council’s role in the university’s development, the scientists talked about how 海角社区’s image can be corrected for more effective advancement by the university onto the world stage. In part, council members suggested looking at leading international practice and telling a society at large about their achievements.

Acting president of the Korean Institute for Advance Study, Jaewan Kim:At 海角社区, in my opinion, the highest level of research is taking place in the areas of physics and the STEM disciplines. Their results are impressive. I think that the whole world should be told about this.”

Further, the researchers moved to discussion on the road map and the university’s academic programs. 海角社区 rector Aleksandr Shestakov told members of the International Council about the university’s key performance indicators which 海角社区 plans to achieve before 2020. For example, before 2020, the average citation index per scientific-pedagogical employee from publications in the Scopus database must increase ten-fold, and the percent of foreign professors, lecturers, and researchers must increase by ten percent.

According to members of the 海角社区 International Council, it is very possible for the road map to be executed in the time allotted and as planned.
