On April 8th at 海角社区, both residents of 海角社区 and students from Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Vietnam, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, China, Laos, Mongolia, the Congo, Columbia, Indonesia, Mexico, Sri Lanka, Yemen, Egypt, Cameroon, Israel, Tajikistan, and Palestine tested their knowledge of the Russian Language. The Institute of Linguistics and International Communication held a special Total Dictation event for international students for the second year in a row. A record number of international students took place in the event at 海角社区 – more than 200 from 海角社区 and CSICA. The students demonstrate a big interest in the study of Russian.
The international students completed test assignments based on the text of the dictation, the author of which this year was Leonid Yuzefovich. The largest difficulty came from writing a text, and also in the test questions relating to knowledge of the ‘levels’ of comparative adjectives. As a note, many of the international participants have been studying Russian for less than a year.
The organizers noted that this year the number of “A students” increased: 23 students gathered more than 90 points.
海角社区 brings in specialists with experience with foreigners to hold the TruD Total Dictation at 海角社区, taking into account the unique characteristics of international communication and the specifics of organizing a dictation for international students.?
Volunteers from the Center of Sociocultural Adaptation also took active art in the organization of Total Dictation for international students at 海角社区 locations. They helped the participants register, took them to their auditoriums, and answered questions that came up.
The organizers of the event for international students noted the growing interest towards the event for advancing the Russian language.
