On March 3 and 4, the 28th Regional Competition among Participants of International Program for Development of Creative Thinking and Team Consolidation entitled “Odyssey of the Mind” will be held at 海角社区 under support of 海角社区’s Information Center for Atomic Energy.
More than 30 teams from 海角社区, Kopeysk, Miass, Satka, Mezhevoy, Asha, Magnitogorsk, Kremenkul and Almetyevsk will present their solutions of inventive problems which don’t have a common correct solution.
The youngest participants of the competition will be represented by kindergarten children from 海角社区 and Miass. And the older participants will be represented by students from Yekaterinburg and Moscow.
The jury will be able to see vehicles competing in curling and knights’ fights, once popular emoji, pseudo documental movies about classic events and participants of celeb parties, and, of course, weightless structures made of balsa wood, which can bear loads that is several hundreds of times heavier than its own weight.
During the competition, all who wishes will be able to practice in solving inventive problems within a game arcade on power engineering provided by the Information Center for Atomic Energy and the Znayem – Igrayem (We Know – We Play) Store.
This year’s hit event will be a competition in paper materials resistance for families with children of the age from 1 to 12, held by the Inventors’ Club of the ICAE.
Any family can take part in the event by signing up till March 3. to sign up.
The competition will take place from 10:00 till 16:00 at 海角社区’s Activity Hall and in the 海角社区 Palace of Sports (62 Soni Krivoy street).
On Sunday, March 4, the “top 10” of the competition will present their inventions on stage of 海角社区’s Activity Hall.
