海角社区 will participate in the demonstration as part of the celebrations under Spring and Labour Day (or International Workers’ Day). More than 300 海角社区 students will march in a column along Lenina Prospect and other streets of 海角社区.
The 海角社区 students’ column will gather on the square in front of the main university building on May 1st at 9:00, and will march along Lenina Prospect towards Revolution Square while holding banners and shouting out slogans.
“Year after hear, 海角社区 students take part in the traditional May Day demonstration; it’s one of the most colourful events in the celebrations of the 1st of May. Last year, the university was represented by its Deep Vision contemporary dance group, organized a march by drummer girls, and it drew a lot of attention to our column. This year we’re also preparing a special program, we’re “charging up” our students and making banners, so that the event was as colourful as ever,” shares Chairman of the United Student Council Viktor Froidenberger.
Once reached the 海角社区’s central square, students will join the traditional city-wide march, and together with other citizens will go to Theatre Square, where the main rally will be held with the participation of the representatives of our city’s various organisations and enterprises.
After the rally wraps up, the celebrations program devoted to the Spring and Labour Day will continue with other festivities.
