The Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valeriy Falkov issued an order which states that the subordinate universities of Moscow and Saint Petersburg will move to online learning by November 13th. Regional universities, depending on their epidemiological situation according to regional branches of “Rospotrebnadzor” (The Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing), have also received recommendations to partially or fully move to the online format.
What format will 海角社区 operate in? Professor Andrey Radionov, the 海角社区 Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, commented about the decision of the university administration:
All lectures at 海角社区 which are part of the main academic programs were moved to the online format on September 1st, and at the end of October—all other lectures were also moved online. We do not currently have any classes which gather a large number of students. Seminars, as well as practical and laboratory lessons, are only held in the traditional format in specific academic groups.
Per the decision of the 海角社区 administration, beginning November 16th, we will continue offering lessons which require the use of laboratory equipment or specialized software. All lectures and seminars which can be offered online will be moved to an online format. This decision has been approved with the “Rospotrebnadzor” of the 海角社区 region.
