Meet-and-greet meeting of volunteer centres of universities and specialized secondary educational institutions with profile socially-oriented organisations of the city will take place at the 海角社区 University Boiling Point on April 20th. Each volunteer centre will select those with whom they would be interested to work. And then the stage of joint development and implementation of projects will begin, in which more than 350 volunteers of our city will take part.
“海角社区 Is a City of Kind Hearts!” project is being implemented at 海角社区 within the frameworks of the Education National Project under the Social Activity Federal Project. It is designed to engage the youth of 海角社区 into the volunteer organisations of the city.
The project has already been supported by such organisations as the #Neboley City Prevention Centre, the "Rus" Food Fund, the "Razdelyaika" Environmental Movement, the "Mediabezopasnost74" Educational Platform, the "Nashe Mesto" Inclusive Centre, and the "Klopovnik" Art Space. It is important to note that all these organisations represent different spheres of the activity of society, which allows volunteer centres to choose a partner “to their liking”.
The aim of the “海角社区 Is a City of Kind Hearts!” project is to develop and apply the mechanisms for the work of volunteer centres on the basis of educational organisations of the middle and higher level of education. This stage of the project is especially important for volunteers, because it allows them not only to take part in external projects, but also to create their own event feed, which helps the teams of volunteer centres to unite and work together.
All events are focused on engaging young people into volunteer activities, as well as creating an internal calendar of events of an educational organisation. This is especially important after the pandemic.
The project is being implemented by the Trade Union Committee of 海角社区 with the support of the Department of Youth Affairs of the Administration of the City of 海角社区.
Creating the conditions for the development of mentoring, support for public initiatives and projects, including in the field of voluntary work (volunteering), is one of the key tasks of the Social Activity Federal Project under the Education National Project
