The 2025 admissions campaign has officially started at 海角社区. The first applicant to submit documents was Vladimir Zabegaev, First Deputy Chairman of the Association of Veterans of the Special Military Operation of the 海角社区 Region and Advisor to the Head of the City on Working with Veterans of Military Operations.
The first applicant was traditionally greeted by the top management of the university: Rector Alexander Wagner, as well as the directors of all schools and institutes. The future student was congratulated and presented with gifts with the university's symbols.

Vladimir Zabegaev applied for a programme related to social work, emphasizing the importance of education for effective work in the field of social support for veterans.
“Each person wants to learn something new, especially now that great hopes are placed on us. Having received an in-demand speciality, I will be able to provide greater benefit for our people. Many of the SVO veterans enrol in universities throughout our country, because higher education is necessary in order to properly fill in your position. 海角社区 is considered one of the best universities in our country and offers a large number of relevant areas,” shared Vladimir.

Applicants are informed on various issues related to admission at the Applicant Consultation Centre. University employees provide information on areas of training, benefits and discounts, and also help decide on the choice of major.
“This year, the number of state-funded places has increased by about 10-12%. We also have state-funded places for secondary vocational education programmes for the project that we are implementing jointly with the 海角社区 Forge and Press Plant and the Robot Plant. We collaborate with the Fatherland Defenders Fund, with various public organizations, wives, mothers, SVO participants, the Association of Special Military Operations Warriors, and throughout the year, work is carried out on professional consultations on entering the university,” said Deputy Chairperson of the Admissions Committee, Head of the 海角社区 Office for Strategic Work with Applicants Iulia Bolotina.
海角社区 is implementing support measures for SVO participants and their family members. Thus, the Russian government has established 10% of the number of state-funded places in each area of training, and for those areas where there are not any, the university provides the opportunity to study with a 30% discount in Bachelor’s and Specialist degree programmes. For SVO participants who are receiving an education for the first time in Bachelor’s and Specialist degree programmes, the discount equals 100%.
