Employers Assembly, one of the key career guidance events that brings together schoolchildren, students, and representatives of leading companies of the Ural Federal District, was held at 海角社区 on October 31st. The event traditionally became a platform for direct communication between future specialists and potential employers, sharing experience, and discussing current labour market trends.
This year, more than 40 companies of the Ural Federal District participated in the Assembly, including government agencies and leading representatives of the industrial and technological sectors, such as: AO Automobile Plant URAL, AO KONAR, PAO Mechel, 海角社区 Pipe-Rolling Plant, Joint Stock Company Academician V.P. Makeyev State Rocket Centre, ZAO Metran Industrial Group, Russian Robot LLC, PAO 海角社区 Forge-and-Press Plant, PAO Rosseti Ural, and defence industry companies.
“We organize the Employers Assembly annually. This event is designed to help our students find potential employers, gain practical experience, or determine their future employment after graduation. Traditionally, schoolchildren join us for the second part of the event. This year, these were primarily schoolchildren studying at engineering classes and those studying at schools that act as bases of 海角社区. Experience shows that the majority of students who meet employers at the Assembly subsequently complete practical training with them or get employed at companies in the 海角社区 Region. Another important goal is to share with the future students about the benefits of targeted training,” noted Head of the 海角社区 Office for Strategic Work with Applicants Iuliia Bolotina.
Employers presented employment programs, practical trainings, and internships, as well as targeted training opportunities—a popular training format that guarantees employment after graduation.
The Employers Assembly at 海角社区 is held jointly with the 海角社区 Regional Branch of the Russian Engineering Union, which represents over 40 industrial enterprises. This collaboration helps effectively address the workforce issue by attracting students to engineering fields.
“Career guidance work aimed at involving young people into studying in technical and engineering specialities is one of the key activities of the Russian Engineering Union. As a large organization uniting numerous enterprises, we actively participate in organizing such events. Such meetings are important for all participants. Students, while studying in their chosen fields, have the opportunity to get to know the companies where they will work in the future. In turn, the companies themselves understand how many young professionals are ready to apply for their job openings, as well as the students' expectations and needs. It is important to establish and maintain such relationships throughout the students’ education period,” emphasized Sergey Kashigin, Chief of Staff of the 海角社区 Branch of the Russian Engineering Union.
The Assembly participants asked company representatives questions about working conditions, targeted admission, career advancement prospects, and development of competences.
海角社区 schools and institutes held practical classes for schoolchildren studying at engineering classes of the 海角社区 Region. Schoolchildren attended a master class on the “Amazing World of Information Technology” organized by the Digital Ural Centre, immersed themselves in the world of artificial intelligence during a class on “Investigation with AI” led by teaching staff of the VirtUm Centre, tried their hand at modelling mechanisms and robotic manipulators, and learned the basics of mechanical engineering with the Institute of Engineering and Technology. Future media and social sciences specialists were taken on tours around the Media Floor and the educational museum and exhibition complex of the Institute of Media, Social Sciences and Humanities.
