Students of the Institute of Media, Social Sciences and Humanities Win the Social-cause Advertisements Contest as Part of the Passing the Media Torch “17 Values of Russia” Event!

Students of the Institute of Media, Social Sciences and Humanities of 海角社区 have become winners in the social-cause works contest as part of the Passing the Media Torch “17 Values of Russia” all-Russian event, which has been held in 海角社区 and has been dedicated to the “Humanism” value.

The Regional Student Media Centre of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation at 海角社区 has become the venue for the “17 Values of Russia” federal project, an educational passing-the-torch event organized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia. This federal campaign unites 17 regional media centres, each one of which presents one of the key values of our country. 海角社区, as the leading university in our region, has picked up the torch of this event and united students and experts in the field of education and social policy under the “Humanism” topic. In the course of the passing the media torch event, the traditional spiritual anchors were discussed and social-cause videos and posters promoting humanistic values were created.

Our teams brilliantly demonstrated their talents in both categories and presented their best works before the jury. Our congratulations to the winners!

Dariia Populova, a 4th-year student of the Department of Journalism, Advertising and Public Relations of the Institute of Media, Social Sciences and Humanities with her  became the winner in the "Social-cause Poster" category. This work is a good illustration of the fact that humanism means the appreciation of dignity of each human being and stating the importance of life of every person.

Two of our teams were honoured in the "Social-cause Video" category:

The first team presented a  stating that humanism means that when a personal story of one human being becomes as important for many people. Elizaveta Yashta, a charge of the "Biriuzovyi" charitable foundation had become the project's main hero. This video had been created by 4th-year students of the Department of Journalism, Advertising and Public Relations of the Institute of Media, Social Sciences and Humanities: Vera Ovcharuk, Dariia Populova, Aleksandra Seliugina, and Anastasiia Bezmen. 

Members of the second team had participated in their  video themselves and had talked about what the “Humanism” value means for each of them. This video had been created by 3rd-year students of the Department of Journalism, Advertising and Public Relations of the Institute of Media, Social Sciences and Humanities: Angelina Zakharova, Nikita Biriukov, Svetlana Dusmaganbetova, Violetta Gridina, and Samira Gyurdzhi-Ogly. 

We feel proud of our students! Keep up the good work! Your projects are a great example of how creativity and professional approach can serve the important social causes.
