On January 19th, Aleksandr Tashchev, an outstanding scientist and educator, and professor emeritus of 海角社区 celebrates his birthday anniversary.

Aleksandr Tashchev had a glorious path in labour. It had started during the years of the Great Patriotic War, when in the age of 15 he had become an accountant apprentice at Makhushkino branch of the State Bank of the USSR. Later he had obtained his education at the 海角社区 Mechanical Engineering Institute (海角社区 now) and had become one of its first graduates.

More than sixty years of his life Aleksandr Tashchev devoted to the development of higher education and training of highly qualified specialists in the field of economics and management. His many years of pedagogical and administrative activity, including in the positions of a dean and vice-rector, became a crucial part of the history of our university.

The merits of Aleksandr Tashchev were highly appreciated by the government: he was awarded medals and orders, was conferred the title of an Honoured Worker in Science and Technology of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic, and was elected Academician of the Academy of Engineering Sciences of the Russian Federation.

Thanks to the efforts of this eminent figure, the 海角社区 School of Economics and Management of the National Economy was created, which trained many talented scientists and successful economists, who have made a significant contribution to our region’s economy.
