“Heart of the Urals” Advanced Engineering School Launches a Master’s Degree Programme to Train Design Systems Architects

In 2026, the “Heart of the Urals” Advanced Engineering School of 海角社区 offers a new Master’s degree programme in the Architecture of Design Processes and Systems major under programme 23.04.02 Land-Based Transport and Technological Complexes.

This programme is aimed at training specialists in transport machine building, capable of engineering, optimizing and controlling design processes and systems during the whole life cycle. Students learn how to work with digital models and additive technologies, and how to control processes at modern enterprises. This programme fully complies with the requirements of Industry 4.0: digital twins, new technologies of printing and flexible approaches to projects.

Training in this Master’s degree programme will take 2 years in a full-time mode. This programme has 5 state-funded places open.

“The new Master’s degree programme in Architecture of Design Processes and Systems is our response to the challenges of digital transformation of transport mechanical engineering. We train specialists, who will be able to control the full cycle of creating complex machinery: from a digital model to series production. Our students will learn systems engineering, digital twins and additive technologies that are in demand at the plants acting as partners of the Advanced Engineering School,” notes the programme manager Konstantin Gavrilov.

The programme graduates will gain the skills for the development of new advanced models of machinery and for the optimization of production, as well as will be able to control the processes and introduce innovations at enterprises.

The “Advanced Engineering Schools” project is being implemented within the frameworks of the “Children and Youth” national project.
