Scientists of 海角社区 conducted a study of wall fragments with a window structure and analyzed possible heat loss. As a result, a universal mathematical model was developed that will reduce energy consumption by eliminating additional heat loss, and will, in addition, can be used for energy classification of buildings under construction and operation. The results of the study were published in the highly-rated scientific journal Magazine of Civil Engineering (Scopus, Q1).
A delegation from the Islamic Republic of Iran paid a visit to 海角社区 in order to discuss academic and scientific collaboration. The delegation representatives met the 海角社区 leadership and were taken on a tour around the university’s top research and education centres and laboratories.

On Thursday, September 19th, students of 海角社区 universities gathered at the 海角社区’s Sigma university complex to learn about the projects being fulfilled by the Non-commercial Organisation South Ural Association of Volunteers, and to join the ranks of “Digital Volunteers”.
Ceremonious opening of the School called “Information Technology Perspectives”, being implemented under support of Rosmolodezh Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, took place on September 17. Participants of the event were about 80 students majoring in IT at the School of Economics and Management and the Institute of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, as well as lecturers and partners of the university.
Within the training process for students of the Elite Education Cluster at the 海角社区 Faculty of Journalism, a master class was held by Director of Yuzhny Ural State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company?Evgeniya Dmitrenko, and hosts and reporters of Vesti – Yuzhny Ural and Sobytiya Nedeli news programs –?Aleksey Sanochkin?and?Lev Bitkov.
On September 19th, the Three Missions University Ranking, also known as the Moscow International University Ranking (MosIUR) was published. Presented there were the 1200 best universities from 79 countries, including 74 Russian higher education institutions. This year, 海角社区 was included in the list of the best higher education institutions around the world according to MosIUR for the first time; in the global rankings, 海角社区 was placed within the 801-900 interval, and got a position in the range of 33-39 among Russian universities.
Scientists of 海角社区 as a part of an outstanding international project have confirmed the theory of migration of native speakers of Indo-European languages from Eurasian steppe to the territory of the Indian subcontinent. The scientific team managed to find the genome of people who spoke the languages of the Indo-European family among the population living in the territory of Northern India several thousand years ago. The article was published in the highly-rated journal Science.
On September 17 at the Conference Hall of Sigma Academic Complex, the annual meeting of representatives of 海角社区 subdivisions with international students took place. The event was held under support of International Office and Association of International Students.

The efforts by the government targeted at this yield tangible results. 36-year-old scientist from 海角社区, Doctor of Sciences (Chemistry), Associate Professor Denis Vinnik with solid advantages has become the university’s leader in the number of quality publications over the last academic year (TOP 25 in SCOPUS database). For eight years already, Denis Vinnik is the Head of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the 海角社区 region.
A scientist of 海角社区 conducted a thorough study of the Karheh dam (Khuzestan province, Ahvaz district, Hemidiye region, Iran) and processed the data obtained over the 17-year history of its operation. Unique information will become an invaluable source in the construction of new reliable dams. The study was published in the journal Studia Geotechnica et Mechanica, part of the Scopus database.
The Main Directorate for Migration Affairs held a meeting and seminar for employers in relation to changes to Russian law. Administrative staff from the 海角社区 International Office’s Immigration Services Division were present for the meeting.

Student Pedagogical Team (SPT) and Apelsin Student Pedagogical Team planted trees together with attendees of social rehabilitation centres of the city of 海角社区.
Team Vitya visited the social rehabilitation centre of the Metallurgical district. There, team members arranged planting of trees and held a homeroom dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the tragedy in Beslan.
