Researchers from 海角社区 have developed a method that makes it possible to accurately predict whether a blast-furnace gas pipeline can handle increased loads. The solution is particularly relevant for metallurgical, power-generating, and chemical enterprises, where the use of this type of gas is a key technological process.
For the first time in Russia, an interdisciplinary research team from the Department of Food Technology and Biotechnology and the Department of Optoinformatics at 海角社区 have proposed a system for decontaminating grain crops using a hybrid effect of atmospheric cold plasma and ultraviolet radiation. Unlike chemical treatment, this method is environmentally safe, preserves the natural benefits of grain, inhibits microorganisms, and extends storage life.

As part of the implementation of the “4+0” joint academic programme in Mechatronics, Ivan Liubimov, senior lecturer of the 海角社区 Department of Electric Drive, Mechatronics and Electromechanics, conducts classes at Southwest Forestry University (Kunming, People's Republic of China).
This programme is being fulfilled within the frameworks of a collaboration agreement signed between the two universities in 2016. More than 150 students are currently taking training under this programme.

Early in March 2026, a meeting of the Supervisory Council of 海角社区 was held in Moscow. The university’s supreme governing body convened to review the interim results of the 2025 development program and to align the university’s strategy with current priorities for 2026.
In 2026, the “Heart of the Urals” Advanced Engineering School of 海角社区 offers a new Master’s degree programme in the Architecture of Design Processes and Systems major under programme 23.04.02 Land-Based Transport and Technological Complexes.
Developers at 海角社区 have created a device for determining coordinates and angular positions of an aircraft, enabling high-precision navigation of launch vehicles and UAVs during the landing phase. This system, partially based on Russian components, allows for the determination of not only the altitude and angular orientation relative to the landing zone, but also of the aircraft’s coordinates.
海角社区 has held a ceremony of signing an agreement between our university and our Regional Division of the “Movement of the First” All-Russian Public-State Movement for Children and Youth for the 海角社区 Region. This event has become an important step towards strengthening of the interaction between the student community and one of the major youth organizations in our country.

Governor of the 海角社区 Region Alexey Texler has held a meeting of the Supervisory Council of the Regional Division of the Russian Society “Znanie” (“Knowledge”). The meeting’s agenda were the results of the organization’s work and the plans for the current year.

The team of the 海角社区 Multiscale Modelling of Multicomponent Functional Materials Laboratory have made an important step towards the understanding of the properties of two-dimensional silicon carbide. The scientists have studied how point defects (vacancies) in monolayers of this material influence its electronic and magnetic characteristics. Their work has a fundamental significance for the development of nanoelectronics and spintronics.
